Y&R spoilers are making it clear that Nikki’s new hire, Claire Grace, is destined to play a big role in Genoa City. We’re not quite sure how that will work out romantically since she’s pretty much the only person her age on the canvas. But, to be honest, we’re more curious about who she really is. Sure, Claire gave us the condensed version of her life: Orphaned at a young age and raised by a great aunt in a small town in Oregon. But since when is anyone on soaps who they actually claim to be? Here’s who we really think Ms. Grace is.
Y&R Spoilers Wild Speculation: Little Girl Lost
Sharon’s (Sharon Case) best friend from high school, Grace (remember that name, folks), came to Genoa City just as Sharon and Nick (Joshua Morrow) feared that their prematurely born son, Noah, would die. So Grace, figuring one kid was as good as another, went to find Cassie (Camryn Grimes), the little girl Sharon had given up for adoption five years earlier.
Luckily, Cassie had already been abandoned by her adoptive mother and was living with her adoptive grandma. Grace took the kid but, when Noah pulled through, decided not to tell Sharon who her new little friend was. Eventually, the truth came out. Sharon claimed Cassie — who was REALLY flexible at getting a new mommy every few months — and Grace decided to focus on stealing Nick instead.
Y&R: Some Enchanted Evening
A drunk Nick had sex with Grace — he thought she was Sharon — a common soap mistake. Then, a few weeks later, he had sex with her sober. Sharon found out, wandered out into the street, and got hit by a car. Grace had sex with Michael (Christian Le Blanc), then left town. A few years later, Grace worked with Cameron (Linden Ashby) to frame Sharon for his “murder,” but she testified against him, and all was well again. In 2014, Grace tried to seduce Nick again but ended up coming up with information that helped Sharon learn about Mariah.
Y&R Spoilers: Where Have You Been
So, because time has no meaning in soapland, Claire Grace could be the daughter of Grace, and either Nick, Michael, or Cameron. The girl was raised in Oregon by her great aunt, and she was either told her parents died in a car accident, or this is just the cover story she’s feeding Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Either way, she isn’t just here for a job.
