Y&R Spoilers Weekly Update: A Painful Decision & A Painful Reunion

Y&R Spoilers Weekly Recap

What a sad week in Genoa City. First, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) showed up and checked into The Grand Phoenix where both Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) confronted her. Jack also lured his son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) back to town with vague family pretenses.

However, even sadder is the tragic and untimely death of Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). He merely wanted to do a favor for a friend — take Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to a hockey game. Instead, a distraught Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) got behind the wheel of her car after Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) signed the deal that gave him half a billion dollars for leaving her and their company. She got into a wreck that involved Rey, and the rest is sad history.

The Young and the Restless Week Ahead

Coming up next week, Sharon finds herself in the unenviable situation of being a widow. As such, she has to make a painful decision about well…everything. There are lots of Rey’s family to contact and details to arrange. Plus, what will she do about helping with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) wedding? Sharon’s in no position to do much at all in the coming weeks aside from grieve.

Speaking of grieving, Kyle thought he’d grieved his dead mother long ago, but surprise! Diane is alive, and now Kyle has the unenviable task of reuniting with her even though it couldn’t be clearer that his dad would rather he didn’t.
