Y&R spoilers tease that Billy Abbott plans to ensure that Victoria Newman never says “I do” to Ashland Locke. It’s hard to see what Billy’s endgame is here, though. Although it’s easy to say he still loves Victoria despite his relationship with Lily Winters, it might not be so simple.
Y&R Spoilers Speculation
Maybe Billy (Jason Thompson) simply can’t let go of Victoria (Amelia Heinle). After all, once he started moving on with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), Vicky started coming around and inserting herself into his life more. She even professed her love, but Billy said he’d moved on.
However, now that he sees Victoria moving forward with Ashland (Richard Burgi), Billy simply can’t help himself. It could be, though, that Billy doesn’t so much want to be with Victoria. Instead, he just doesn’t want her to be with anybody else. Plus, he wants to protect his children.
Y&R Spoilers: Billy’s Addicted To The Thrill
More plausible, though, is that Billy thrives off of drama. We already know that he does. From his illicit affair with Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) wife, Phyllis, a few years ago to his major exposé on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) with a whole lot of gambling and risk thrown in, Billy is at his best when there’s drama.
Simply put, Billy is addicted to the thrill of the chase. Whether it’s him chasing Victoria or him chasing the lead on a big secret. It’s what Billy does best. Plus, it had to sting to see his ex-father-in-law, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) so quickly accept Ashland after years of Billy trying and failing to get Victor’s approval.
A Reunion Is Unlikely
While it seems like Lily may explode because of Billy’s obsession with Victoria’s fiancé, it doesn’t seem likely that Billy hopes to reunite with his ex-wife. Instead, he wants to solve the secret and bring down Ashland. We don’t even think he’s thought through the consequences. If he succeeds, don’t expect a reunion between Billy and Victoria anytime soon.
