Y&R spoilers showed that Phyllis Summers convinced her daughter that she is just the innocent victim. She’s even plotting to make it look like she’s not at fault for all the things she’s done. Will anyone but Summer believe her, though?
Sure, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) faked her death and killed a man. So? Is that a capital offense? Oh. It is? Well, then, it shouldn’t be. For her. Will Phyllis get away with murder? Here’s what over 2000 voters predict will happen to the woman who faked her death and killed a man in the process.
If Phyllis’s only hope is for Summer (Allison Lanier) to scheme and cook up a shady alibi, then, yeah, she’s doomed, 9% shrug. She is not getting away with anything if her case rests on a criminal who stole two dead bodies to pass off as herself and the EMT. The jury is supposed to believe a guy who was paid to do illegal things when he says that Phyllis is telling the truth? That’s her character witness? It doesn’t seem plausible.
Maybe Summer has more up her sleeve than just that, 22% are keeping their fingers crossed. Maybe it’s not just the guy who’ll say, “Yeah, so Jeremy (James Hyde), the guy who has already done time in prison for drug dealing and money laundering, he was a bad dude. So if that read-headed lady who had paid me off before but is definitely not paying me now, Scout’s honor, says he made her do bad stuff, then you should totes believe her.” Maybe, they can get some actual physical evidence of Stark coming up with Phyllis’ plan or threatening Phyllis into carrying out her plan. Why should the fact that it’s not true be a deterrent?
Everyone else in Genoa City gets away with their crimes, so why shouldn’t Phyllis, 69% shrug? Does anyone remember that Nick (Joshua Morrow) killed Ashland (Robert Newman) — and Victor (Eric Braeden) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) covered it up? How about Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) trying to kill Rey (Jordi Vilasuso)? How about Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) trying to kill Adam (Mark Grossman)? Does Genoa City even have any laws against murder?
