Y&R Spoilers Speculation: Here’s What Ashland Is Really Up To

Y&R spoilers tease a major confrontation coming between Ashland Locke and Victor Newman. From the time Ashland showed up on The Young and the Restless, viewers have been wondering what the Locke Ness Monster was really up to. Who leaves the thrill of the financial life in New York City for a backwater town like Genoa City?

Y&R Spoilers Speculation

No one here was even up to his level — no matter how much men like Victor (Eric Braeden) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) actually believe they can play with the big boys of Wall Street. So what is he really plotting? How is this for the full story:

Young and the Restless: A Little Background

Ashland’s (then-Richard Burgi) original reason for making the trek out to Wisconsin was to get his wife and son and bring them home where they belonged. But then the whole thing with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) being Harrison’s biological father blew up. Ashland could have still grabbed the tot and returned to the Big Apple. He had all the legal rights.

Y&R Spoilers: Plot Twist

But then…then…Victor played dirty. He actually refused to let Ashland call for medical help in the midst of having a heart attack until Ashland signed papers selling his company to Victor — against Ashland’s will. Once that happened, the mogul had a new goal in life: Make Victor Newman pay.

Young and Restless: Deep Con

And this is where he proves why he’s the master of the game. Ashland (now-Robert Newman) didn’t confront Victor directly. He went sideways. He faked a terminal illness, followed by marriage to Victor’s daughter. Victor thinks he got the better end of the deal. Soon, Ashland will be dead, Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) will be his widow, and Victor will step in and take control of the now even more powerful Newman-Locke. Boy, he’s brilliant!

Except that, if Ashland doesn’t die, Y&R spoilers may hint that the joke is on Victor. It’s now Ashland who not only has Victor’s company, but also the one he was forced to sell to him back, too. Ashland will prove himself to be the ultimate power player. And Victor might actually have to be the one to cry uncle for a change.
