Would they even see Billy Abbott making a move?
Fans don’t need Y&R spoilers to see that Billy is getting fed up with this battle between Jack and Ashley. Jack is putting his faith in Diane, Ashley is putting her faith in Tucker, and no one is telling poor Billy anything. Well, enough is enough.
Billy (Jason Thompson) has been the disregarded baby brother for too long. No more Mr. Nice Guy. Billy is here, Billy is mad, and Billy is going to do something about it!
Jack (Peter Bergman) is in New York to talk to Jabot board members and lawyers. Billy can do that, too! Surely, some old friends of John Abbott are unhappy to see Jack and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) fighting each other…while the company loses money. Nobody likes that. How hard could it be for Billy to convince them that he’s the right heir to take over and right the ship? He doesn’t have any petty agendas…that they know of.
Jack is the firstborn, and Ashley is the second. (Yes, she’s not John’s biological child. No, he didn’t know. Yes, he loved her and considered her his and so that line of questioning is closed.) You’d think that Traci (Beth Maitland), as the third, would be next in line to take over the company.
She did it for a few minutes there a while back. But, let’s be serious. Billy is John’s son. Billy is who should be stepping up. Maybe he can get Traci to back his candidacy. That would be nice. And appropriate for the second daughter to do.
But Billy needs to do all this on the down low. He shouldn’t give his siblings a head’s up, he should just show up at the board meeting and spring it on them. Billy, for the win!
