Y&R Spoilers Speculation: Ashland Cooks Up A Newman-Slaying Scheme

Y&R spoilers reveal that Victoria Newman bested her lying liar of an ex-husband Ashland Locke. Game over — now all that’s left is for him to slink away with his tail between his legs. But will he?

All this time, we’ve been told that Ashland (Robert Newman) earned his nickname — ‘the Locke Ness Monster’ — because of his ruthless business activities. This guy’s a survivor if there ever was one. Sure, he’s not The Mustache or his daughter Victoria (Amelia Heinle), but Ashland doesn’t strike us as a man who will give up without a fairly serious fight.

We also know that Ashland claims Victoria changed him, but without the hope of a future with her will he really be willing to leave without a dime especially after Newman Enterprises absorbed his company? We speculate that getting rid of her ex won’t be quite as easy as Victoria seems to think after her recent victory of draining their joint account and running home to dear daddy.

An Unexpected Ally

We suspect that although Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is supposedly on the straight and narrow, she’ll soon tire of receiving continual hate from much of Genoa City’s top citizens — especially the Newmans. Given their connection to Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), we could see how Ashland and Diane could easily choose to team up especially if something happens and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) banishes his mother from little Harrison’s life.

Plus, there’s no way Ashland will simply give up after Victoria took all their money. In fact, he may have already had a plan in place. Who knows? Maybe Ashland and Diane have had a scheme since before she even returned? Stranger things have happened (like her returning from the dead). While we’d never expect an Ashland/Diane duo to best the Newmans for forever, we could see them putting up a big fight and at least seeming to come out on top for a bit. What do you think?
