Friends and family say a poignant goodbye to a beloved Salem heroine when Abigail Deveraux DiMera is buried and put to rest. Salem Sorrow
A photo of the late Abigail alone and one of her, Chad (Billy Flynn), and one of their children are on display at the funeral. It sets the tone for the incredibly sad day.
Chad’s longtime friends, Sonny Kiriakis (Zack Tinker) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey) arrive to offer their support. Chad answers the door in tears and embraces Sonny, while Will tries to come to terms with what has happened. “She was murdered in her own home. Who would do that?” Will asks incredulously.
DAYS Spoilers: A Time to Mourn
JJ (Casey Moss) is distraught, too. He sobs and tells his father, Jack (Matthew Ashford), “I miss her.” Jack, who’s grieving his daughter, reacts by hugging his son. “Me, too,” he responds.
At the pub, Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) breaks down in Steve Johnson’s (Stephen Nichols) arms. And, back at the DiMera mansion, Chad receives more love from Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), who returns to town to be there for his little brother.

Days of our Lives: Killer Found?
After the funeral, viewers will learn that significant progress has been made in the investigation of Abigail’s death. In fact, someone has been arrested for the crime. But who is it?
Chad shows up at the precinct ready to find out and quickly gets into it with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). “The man who stabbed my wife is actually sitting in the other room,” yells Chad, upon learning someone is being held for questioning.
Chad goes ballistic and screams, “He threatened my family.” Rafe and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) try to keep him from lashing out, but there’s no containing him. Chad lunges for the suspect ready to physically attack him, while Rafe holds him back. See it all for yourself in the preview video below.
