Y&R Spoilers Speculation: A New Baby For Mariah…and Tessa?

Now that Camryn Grimes has announced her pregnancy, Y&R spoilers are wide open as to whether the blessed event will be written into Mariah’s storyline. On the one hand, she’s a happily married woman — so why not throw a new baby into the mix?

Sure, her daughter, Aria, is only a few months old, but that’s not an insurmountable obstacle. Irish twins, anyone? The bigger deal is that Mariah is married to Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). So an unexpected pregnancy for this couple is…kind of an insurmountable obstacle. But what about…if the following happened?

Young & Restless: Win Or Lose

Mariah and Tessa are over the moon about their little girl. But the course of no soap adoption has ever run smoothly. What if Aria’s biological mother wants her back? Or what if the biological father never signed away his parental rights?

What if Mariah and Tessa lose Aria? And what if losing Aria reminds Tessa too much of her grief at being separated from her little sister, Crystal, and Tessa spirals off into a deep depression? Mariah will do anything she can to help, won’t she?

Y&R Spoilers: Better You Than Me

Mariah might want to get pregnant right away to replace Aria with a baby who can’t be snatched away from them. And it makes more sense for Mariah to be the one to get pregnant since she’s sure she can, thanks to carrying and delivering Dominic.

So Mariah will propose the idea to Tessa. If her wife agrees, they can turn to a friend for help. Not Devon (Bryton James), certainly, since we know how good he is at honoring sperm donor agreements. Maybe Kyle (Michael Mealor)? He fathered Harrison (Kellen Enriquez) without even knowing it, so he’s easy.

But what if Tessa doesn’t consent? What if she’s too grief-stricken to even consider another child? Might Mariah go off on her own, anyway, figuring she’ll give Tessa nine months to get used to the idea? Now we’ve got drama! And a way to keep Grimes from hiding behind purses.
