Could the Y&R spoilers get any cuter? Ashley has agreed to marry Tucker, and her daughter, Abby, and his son, Devon, are throwing the wedding. Abby and Devon also talked about possibly getting married themselves.
Sure, Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Devon’s (Bryton James) wedding could take place off-screen, like most of their relationship has. Or…they could make it a double wedding! But would that really be a good idea?
It remains hard to shake the feeling that Ashley (Eileen Davidson) is only using Tucker (Trevor St. John) to annoy her brother and convince Jack (Peter Bergman) to dump Diane (Susan Walters). Ashley is playing Tucker. And he is either clueless or he’s playing her right back. Either way, does this sound like a couple who will actually make it past their vows and into “You may kiss the bride” territory?
Someone is going to back out at the last minute. And that will make it very awkward for the other couple standing next to them, namely Abby and Devon. Do Ashley and Tucker really want to put their kids in such a position? (To be fair, Ashley and Tucker’s selfishness has hit stratospheric heights over the past few months, so who knows, maybe they do. Or they don’t care.)
The better solution is to let Ashley and Tucker do their thing, and Devon and Abby do theirs. Two separate weddings for two separate couples with two very separate agendas.
We also have to admit, it feels a little hinkey to have either ceremony take place in the Chancellor mansion. Sure, Tucker is Kay’s (Jeanne Cooper) son, but he wasn’t a Chancellor. He was born before his mother married Phillip. And, sure, Devon is Kay’s grandson. But not only is he not a Chancellor but also Abby’s last husband, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), and the legal father of her son, was. This wedding is going to be complicated enough without going there.
