The Y&R spoilers for Monday, January 9, 2023, tease one woman revealing a whole new side of herself to an old flame while another makes a shocking discovery. This is one dramatic episode you won’t want to miss.
Recently Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) has tried to win back the supposed love of his life, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). He even went so far as to help her by feeding her dirt on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and her association with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). Of course, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) took matters into her own hands and brought big bad Jeremy to Genoa City, which is an unforgivable crime in some circles.
Despite no longer officially needing Tucker to find out about Diane’s dirty dealings, Ashley still seems to be giving Tucker the time of day. She’s allowed him to romance her with a fancy winter picnic and a special meal at Society to name just a few things that they’ve recently done.
As they continue their delicate dance, Tucker sees a new side to Ashley. It must surprise him, given how well he thinks he knows her. Will Ashley be vulnerable and hurt after her latest argument with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), or will she be vengeful and vindictive? The latter might be more surprising to Tucker, but it’s not like Ashley’s ever been a wilting flower. Our bet is that she ends up getting romantic with him — that’d probably stun Tucker at this point for sure.
As for Phyllis, she’s been busy being hurt over Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) firing her and spending her Christmas with Diane. However, she does have a bright spot — her new job with Daniel Romalotti (Michael Grazaidei). Of course, when Phyllis makes a shocking discovery, it could change everything. Will it have something to do with Diane or Summer? Or, will Phyllis’s discovery be something no one sees coming?
