The Y&R spoilers for Friday, August 5, 2022, prove that Nicholas Newman cannot keep a secret when he turns to Sharon Rosales as a sounding board. Meanwhile, Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor is shocked to learn that her husband doesn’t have her family’s best interests at heart, while Billy Abbott can’t help needing to know what’s going on with Victoria Newman.
The Y&R Spoilers Highlights
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) banged his desk and yelled at Nick (Joshua Morrow) for being ungrateful for everything Victor did for him…which includes stealing what he swears was already Ashland’s dead body and making his death look like a car accident, not a manslaughter Nick committed. Victor huffed and puffed for Nick to keep his mouth shut. Doesn’t he appreciate what Daddy Dearest did for him?
Nick slunk out of Victor’s office…and headed straight for Sharon (Sharon Case). There, he hems and haws and, finally, spills his guts. Victor is going to be most displeased.

Victor would also be most displeased to learn that son-in-law Chance (Conner Floyd) isn’t simply swallowing the story Victor fed him and is actually doing his own investigation into Ashland’s (Robert Newman) death. Knowing how her father will feel about it, Abby (Melissa Ordway) tries to talk him out of performing his duties. Doesn’t he understand what his new job as a member of the Newman clan entails?
Y&R Spoilers: Co-Parenting
Billy (Jason Thompson), for his part, catches up with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), after she picks up their kids from camp. Sure, he can claim he’s only doing his fatherly duties, but we can’t help thinking he wants more from Victoria than she’s willing to give. Is it purely professional interest for the podcast? Or is this personal? We wonder what Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) would think of either.
