The Y&R spoilers recap for Thursday, August 4, 2022, brings truth bombs all over the place in Genoa City. Nick Newman demands the truth from Victor Newman, and he gets it…uh oh. Adam Newman wants the truth from Sally Spectra, and he gets it, but it might not be what he wants. Ashley Abbott drops some truth on Nikki Newman and Phyllis Summer, while Kevin Fisher gives Chance Chancellor a bombshell tip about Ashland Locke.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Nothing about Ashland’s (Robert Newman) death sat right with Nick (Joshua Morrow). He’s not the only one with questions, obviously. Finally, he demanded some answers from Victor (Eric Braeden). After all, how could he trust his old man if he continued playing the same old games?
Well, Victor spelled it all out for his eldest son with a major truth bomb. Victor’s security team found Ashland dead on the floor at Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) house. They removed the body and made it look like he died in a car accident. That way, there was no question about what happened. Nick did nothing wrong — he merely protected his sister, according to Victor. Sure, Victor took things into his own hands instead of letting the law sort it out, but that’s what The Great Victor Newman does…you got that?
Young and the Restless: Loyalties
At Society, Adam (Mark Grossman) sat at the bar when Sally (Courtney Hope) came in for some takeout. The duo talked some, and she relayed that she didn’t want them to have any awkwardness between them when they inevitably ran into each other about town, and he agreed.
Sally also let Adam know that she chose to stay at Newman Media. After all, no man was worth giving up that opportunity — not even him. Then, she intimated that there was more to Ashland’s death than he knew, and Adam wanted her to spill. Sally acted as though she might, and then she stiffened her spine and dropped the truth bomb that her loyalty lay with Newman Media and not her ex-boyfriend who stomped on her heart.
Y&R Spoilers Recap: A Big Tip
At Crimson Lights, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) burst in with some big news for Chance (Conner Floyd). The tip line got something huge about the night Ashland died — somebody saw his car at the gas station near Victoria’s property. Chance planned to pull the security footage from the area to see if he could piece together more details of what happened the night Ashland died. It sounded like he was one step closer to figuring out the truth.
Y&R: Ticking Time Bomb
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) all met for drinks at The Grand Phoenix. They discussed how to rid themselves of their mutual enemy Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Of course, Phyllis let Ashley in on the plan she and Nikki put together to get Diane to bring herself down.
Just how would Phyllis do it? By working at Marchetti, of course. Since Diane is a ticking time bomb, all Phyllis would do is pull out the pin a bit and let Diane explode. Ashley had some reservations because she felt it would be bad for Jabot, but Nikki and Ashley promised that it wouldn’t. After all, they both love Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) and would never do anything to hurt her. They all toasted to that.
Meanwhile, back at the Abbott house, Diane worried she’d overstepped by barging in with plans for Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), but Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) was happy to have her there. After all, the little boy needed everyone to help him through his grief over Father. Diane noted it had been a while since she’d had anybody on her side, and it seemed as if she and Jack grew a bit closer, which won’t be welcome news for Ashley, Phyllis, or Nikki.
