The Y&R spoilers for Friday, August 12, 2022, suggest that we might be looking at a Newman-free day in Genoa City. Elena Dawson is tired of Imani Benedict’s “friendly” overtures towards Nate Hastings, while Chelsea Lawson makes new partner Billy Abbott uncomfotable, and Tessa Porter gets a job offer — thanks to wife Mariah Copeland.
The Y&R Spoilers Highlights
Elena (Brytni Sarpy) is no dummy. Having cheated on Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) with Nate (Sean Dominic), and having cheated on Nate with Devon, she knows what someone about to cheat looks like. And she sees it in the way Nate has been hanging around Imani (Leigh-Ann Rose).
Sure, he thinks he’s just offering a sympathetic shoulder to cry on, but Elena is here to explain why he’s being an idiot. And he’s her idiot, not Imani’s. Elena may have cheated on him. But she won’t stand for him doing the same to her!

Young & Restless: Risk Taker
Billy (Jason Thompson) asked Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) to work with him on his podcast because he wanted her to shake things up a bit, be all alt and edgy, like the cool kids say. The problem is, Billy is neither alt nor edgy.
So whenever Chelsea makes any suggestion of that sort, he reverts to the uptight guy he really is. As far as we can see, the only way Chelsea can really get to Billy is through their mutual son, Johnny. But what do you want to bet it’s something a lot less important.
Y&R Spoilers: Cover Girl
Now that Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) has to rest her voice and her singing career is on hold, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) has a great idea — Tessa should be a model! Mariah pitched the idea to her good pal, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), and his wife, Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier). Since both of them got their jobs purely through nepotism, they see nothing wrong with Mariah’s suggestion. Welcome aboard, Tessa!
