The Y&R spoilers recap for Thursday, August 11, 2022, brings drama for Abby Chancellor as she realizes there’s more to Chance Chancellor’s investigation into Ashland Locke’s death — and it involves Victor Newman. Meanwhile, Adam Newman is trying everything he can to get the goods on his family. Plus, Victor demands a united front.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Abby (Melissa Ordway) wondered why Adam (Mark Grossman) still patronized her business given that he was through with the Newman family…again. Adam remarked that they didn’t have any issues between them, and he asked his sister if they could talk. Obviously, that raised Abby’s concerns, but she agreed.

Adam mentioned Chance’s (Conner Floyd) investigation, and Abby didn’t really know much about it. She told her brother that she knew he was trying to get information, but he promised he only wanted to help. Adam proposed an alliance, with each of them sharing whatever information they learned, and Abby reluctantly agreed.
Then, she called Chance to meet at Chancellor Park. They discussed the whole investigation into Abby’s family. Chance wondered if she wanted him to drop the whole thing, and Abby couldn’t ask that of her husband. Instead, she said, he’d know the right thing to do.
After Abby left, Adam walked up to Chance and asked to be his guy on the inside in the investigation. He told Chance he could get him information about what happened, and Chance looked intrigued.
Young and the Restless: What’s Your Next Move?
Before that, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) confronted Chance over a cup of coffee at Crimson Lights. She wondered just exactly what his next step was, and he admitted he felt Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) death was an accident and that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is the one who caused it — as self-defense. Nick walked in and wanted to know the same. Victoria asked Chance to drop the case, but he wouldn’t.

The elder Newman siblings held the line to Chance that they knew nothing at all about what Victor (Eric Braeden) may or may not have done with Ashland’s body, and Chance put them on warning.
Y&R Spoilers Recap: Accessories To A Crime
Then, Nick and Victoria went to see Victor at the ranch. He admonished Nick for telling Victoria and Victoria for telling Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) because now they’re all accessories to the crime. Didn’t they realize that Victor merely wanted to protect them all?
In the end, Victor declared that they must present a united front about Ashland’s death because there was no way Chance could prove anything.
Y&R: He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not
At Newman Media, Sally (Courtney Hope) had a visit from Victor where he subtly told her to continue keeping the story about Ashland’s death under wraps. Later, Adam showed up, and he wanted Sally to tell him the real deal about the night Ashland died. She offered to give him the truth in exchange for Adam admitting that he loved her and only broke up with her so she could keep the job.
As they negotiated, Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) interrupted and insisted that Adam leave. Then, she told Sally all the reasons why her plan to trade information with Adam was a terrible one, but will Sally listen?
