The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, April 9 reveals a day of meddling mamas and duplicitous detectives in Genoa City.
Phyllis decides to help Summer — whether Summer wants her help or not, while Paul gives Rey an ultimatum — and doesn’t care how Rey feels about it, either. You won’t want to miss a moment of this edge-of-your-seat episode.
Mama Is Gonna See To It!
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) has always wanted to play Supermom to her little Supergirl. Not even Summer (Hunter King) sleeping with Billy (Jason Thompson) for…reasons…was enough to turn Phyllis away from her daughter. Which is admirable. Especially on soaps.
Do you know what isn’t admirable? Phyllis deciding she can do a better job of making decisions for Summer, then Summer can.
Now, granted, Summer is pretty crappy at making decisions. But, let the child live her own life, Mom! It’s not like Phyllis has made any fantastic decisions of late.
First, Phyllis isn’t happy about the Abbotts “using” Summer to help with Jabot business. She works for Newman! She told Jack (Peter Bergman) how she feels about that.
Phyllis also isn’t happy about the terms of Summer and Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) marriage because Kyle obviously still loves Lola (Sasha Calle).
He only married Summer in order to save Lola’s life. Phyllis needs to fix this for her baby girl. And, it’s better if she does it without asking Summer first. More efficient that way, you know?
What will Phyllis …continue reading on the next page —>
What will Phyllis do and how much will she hurt Summer in the process? Hurt her for her own good, of course.
Or Else
Paul (Doug Davidson) has returned to the Genoa City canvas with a vengeance. After being MIA for the entire investigation, he fired Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) for making such a mess out of JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) “death.”
But Paul isn’t done yet. He now has an ultimatum for his renegade cop — the fact that Rey is now sleeping with the woman who used to be married to Paul’s son has totes nothing to do with it, by the way.
And, Paul isn’t making a request. He’s giving an order. Except Rey doesn’t work for him anymore. So, now what? Does this mean Rey will soon work for him again?
