The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, April 25 reveal yet another day of heartache in Genoa City as friends and family continue mourning Neil’s passing.

Familiar faces appear on your screen to say goodbye to the Winters patriarch… and to actor Kristoff St. John.

Daytime Emmy winner Shemar Moore returns as Malcolm to bid his brother farewell. (We’ll just ignore the Family Matters guy who played the part in the interim — he was way too young, to begin with.)

Malcolm is here to honor Neil (Kristoff St. John), but will Lily’s (Christel Khalil) paternity come into play?

Lily, Malcolm, and Dru kept the secret of parentage for literally years, classic soap style. When Neil did finally learn the truth, he insisted Lily would always be his daughter, and she vowed the same thing.

But now Neil is gone. Lily even stressed to Cane (Daniel Goddard) how she’d lost both her parents. So where does that leave Malcolm? Will he try to horn in and play daddy, or will he respect Lily’s boundaries?

And one more thing: Who can see Malcolm — and Moore — as the grandfather of teenagers Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry), who are about to go off to college?

Ashley, Nikki, Jack, and Victor can’t believe they lost such a great friend while the family is now forced to make funeral fans so soon after Lily’s homecoming.
