Awkward moments and major changes in Genoa City. Chance (Conner Floyd) and Summer (Allison Lanier) finally got to go on a real date. Things were pretty awkward, but they ended up seeming to enjoy themselves. Jack (Peter Bergman) sat down by Victor (Eric Braeden) at the bar at Society, and he noted that he doesn’t feel the same way about their rivalry that he used to feel. The men bonded a bit over Harrison, but Victor wasn’t ready to be BFFs. At Newman Media, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) offered Audra (Zuleyka Silver) the opportunity to move to Paris to open that office, but Audra declined, so Nikki fired her. Upset, Nikki called Jack, and he rushed to help her stay on the wagon. Meanwhile, Victor saw Audra at Society, and he was surprised Nikki had let her go. Audra assured him Nikki was sober, which surprised him even more that Audra knew about Nikki’s struggles. As the episode ended, Nikki looked at Jack, worried as Victor knocked on her door at work.

Big worries and skepticism abounded in Genoa City. At the GCAC dining room, Audra attempted to get back into Tucker’s (Trevor St. John) good graces, but he didn’t buy her sudden change of heart. Meanwhile, Nate (Sean Dominic) and Devon (Bryton James) dined nearby, and Tucker noticed the looks exchanged between Nate and Audra. Nate and Devon talked about family, which was a bit awkward, considering Devon’s lack of communication with Tucker. Nikki insisted that Jack keep her secret, and he did, despite him telling Diane he didn’t feel great about it. Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victor discussed Nikki, and later, Nick eavesdropped on Sharon having a video business meeting, and the two shared some warm moments. Victor received a call while he and Nikki were at dinner at Society, and he hid news of a fire at Jordan’s jail from her.

Shocking surprises and terrible news dominated Genoa City. Diane worried about Kyle after he did several things that were her job, but Jack tried to reassure her. Nick and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) worried when Victor told them about the fire at the jail where Jordan was housed. They all agreed not to tell Nikki. However, she happened across an article about it and started hyperventilating with worry. Tucker tried to goad Nate, but the younger man didn’t bite. Later, Audra got reassurance from Tucker that he’d forgiven her, and she also talked to Nate about Nikki firing her.

Ashley and Traci went to Paris, and the waiter told Ashley that Tucker hadn’t been violent even though he was angry. Ashley angrily left and called Tucker, accusing him of paying off the waiter to lie. Traci called Jack to update him. However, Jack was busy helping Nikki go to an AA meeting after she drank due to reading about the fire where Jordan was. Victor walked in on them in Nikki’s office and wasn’t happy to see Jack. Daniel and Heather discussed their relationship as an ecstatic Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) eavesdropped.

Audra gave Tucker an ultimatum — her or Ashley. He was in a snit about Ashley accusing him of bribing the waiter so that he’d take his side over his supposed skirmish with Ash, but ultimately, he chose Audra, and they sealed the deal with sex. Jack played off being with Nikki as they ran into each other at an AA meeting. Later, Jack talked to Diane about Nikki hiding him being her sponsor from Victor and his worries over Ashley in Paris. Traci updated her brother on the situation, and later, Ashley apologized for running out and promised to return to the bistro. Victor called his team to ensure they were on the lookout for “that Jordan woman,” and Nikki lost it when she received a call from an unknown number. Billy (Jason Thompson) helped talk Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) down when she worried about Connor (Judah Mackey), and Sally (Courtney Hope) did the same for Adam (Mark Grossman).

The Young and the Restless Week Ahead

Coming up, look for Victor to learn some disturbing news, and we suspect it has to do with Jordan. Did the evil woman escape the fire? That’s not going to help Nikki, and another thing that won’t help is Diane feeling upset over Nikki and Jack’s bond.

Meanwhile, things heat up between Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Christine (Lauralee Bell). Their rivalry takes a dangerous turn, which may mean big issues for one of them. Could Christine be in harm’s way…again? Later in the week, Phyllis will have to keep up appearances.
