The Young and the Restless spoilers weekly update for October 4 – 8, 2021, tease the week ahead is full of relationships being put to the test, someone forced to do damage control, and shocking information. Tune in next week so you can catch all of the action in Genoa City!
How many secrets can one man keep? Quite a few if you ask Ashland Bobby DeFranco Locke (Richard Burgi). His switcheroo with his dying best friend was one thing, but The Young and the Restless spoilers show Ashland has another secret, and this time Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is in on it.
After arriving in Tuscany, Ashland’s and Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) relationship gets rocky. It could be a secret Ashland is keeping, something he says, or doesn’t do, but he screws up and puts his relationship with Victoria in danger. Did Nick already expose the secret he was told to keep from Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) just days before? This could be a make-it-or-break-it moment for the engaged couple’s future.
Another couple also faces a make-it-or-break-it decision. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) has plenty of people telling her getting pregnant isn’t her best move – her mother Sharon Case (Sharon Rosales), her girlfriend Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) – but Mariah knows she knows best. Her hormones are still all over the place from giving birth a mere few weeks ago, and her maternal instincts are telling her she needs a baby, and she needs it now. When Mariah tells Tessa she has a surprise for her… we hope it won’t be the I went and got pregnant without your permission so we can start a happy little family type of surprise.
Ashland’s shady past came out and Victoria was stunned. Ashland Locke was the name of his dead best friend. As the story goes, Ashland used to be Bobby DeFranco. He was besties with the real Ashland until they got into a tragic car crash. The real Ashland died and the fake Ashland swapped wallets and identities.
Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) upped his game and set up a date Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) would not forget. He got them a private dining area at the Top of the Tower (thanks, Victor). It was a romantic gesture that left quite the impression on Faith.
Tessa did all she could to talk Mariah off the baby ledge but nothing worked. Tessa made it clear she was not ready for a child but Mariah was convinced the time is right. She wants a baby now.
