The Young and the Restless spoilers update for August 16 – 20, 2021, reveals secrets from the past, a score to settle, and a missing person investigation is underway. Tune in next week so you can catch all of the action in Genoa City!

The Young and the Restless — The Week Ahead

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease Victor Newman trusts no one. No one’s word is as good as Victor’s (Eric Braeden), and if he accuses you of lying, then you must be lying. So when Victor decides to investigate Ashland Locke’s past, it comes as no surprise. Even with Ashland’s (Richard Burgi) promise that he wholeheartedly loves Victoria Newman and isn’t lying about his health diagnosis, Victor needs proof.

Elsewhere in Genoa City, Ashland and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) have some unfinished business, so the men meet up via video call. Hopefully, a topic of conversation is little Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) and how he needs a stable child-parent relationship in his life, which he isn’t currently getting.

The Young and the Restless spoilers show people are finally starting to get the hint that Mariah Copeland’s disappearance is out of the ordinary and cause for concern. She’s only been communicating with her friends and family through cryptic text messages and is missing her scheduled appointments, not to mention her due date is quickly approaching.

Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) shares alarming information with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), which prompts Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to open an investigation into her disappearance, and Victor agrees to use his deep pockets and assets to help find her. With everyone’s resources pooled together, Mariah has a better chance of coming home before she delivers the baby.

The Young and the Restless Weekly Recap

Summer Newman and Kyle took their final bows. The couple opted to stay in Italy. Poor Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) was a mess. She took down Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner), who was extradited to New York, and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), who got fired by Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman), so Summer (Hunter King) could come home. However, in the end, she understood why Summer stayed in Italy.

Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) decided once and for all medicine was not his calling, music was. He opted to follow in Devon Hamilton’s footsteps and asked for a place at Hamilton-Winters. Devon (Bryton James) was pleased. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was too. He would be busy with that new job as Chief of Surgery, after all. Devon didn’t hide his confusion over that announcement. Wasn’t that position Stitch Rayburn’s (Sean Carrigan) job?

Ashland started his cancer treatments this week. He and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) also announced their engagement. Much to Victoria’s surprise, Victor was over the moon and even offered to plan the wedding.
