The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, August 21, 2020, conclude the week with Nick and Kyle having a little chat about Summer, Abby wondering what Phyllis is up to, and Theo coaxing a smile from Lola.
Summer (Hunter King) promised not to complain about Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) getting back together yet again. If they’re happy, then she’s happy. Nick would like to return the favor by not complaining about Summer getting back together with Kyle (Michael Mealor), but is finding that to be easier said than done.
So instead of going to Summer, Nick goes to Kyle, and he makes it very clear how he expects his little girl to be treated. After all, the young man has already broken her heart multiple times. If he does it again, the end result will not be pretty.
Phyllis told Nick about her plan to open an all-female spa where women can be pampered. Abby (Melissa Ordway) would like to hear more, especially since she’s building a hotel across the street. It’s good to get a sense of what the competition is planning. Will she play fair and go to Phyllis, or does Abby have an ax to grind about those dinosaur bones? If so, she may end up planning to fight scheming with scheming.
Lola (Sasha Calle) has returned home from Florida, having decided that there is no point in her opening a restaurant there. (Now she’s exactly where the fans have been since the start of this out-of-nowhere plot point.) Lola is sad… and Theo (Tyler Johnson) decides to make her happy!
Theo does the charming Theo thing, which usually works on Lola and her doldrums. This time is no different: Lola cheers up and opens up. Theo feels like he’s finally gotten past her defenses, which leaves him feeling just as pleased. Everything is going wonderfully… and then Kyle and Summer show up. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
