The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, August 20 sees Victoria consolidating her power base by making a political move. Meanwhile, Sharon works with Adam, Chance questions Chelsea, and Jack decides that he knows what his mother wants.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) offers Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) a job as COO of Newman Enterprises. Nikki is reluctant, but Victoria does an episode-long pitch and finally convinces her mother. Victor (Eric Braeden) is initially pleased because that means his wife will be his spy at headquarters.
Nikki sets some boundaries, though, telling Victor that she doesn’t intend to be his snitch. Victor is unconvinced. The day will come when Nikki will be forced to make a decision and how could she ever pick anyone but him? He’s Victor Newman, the love of her life.
You Are Getting Sleepy…
Adam (Mark Grossman) expects Sharon (Sharon Case) to hypnotize him, but she just wants to chat about Adam’s past, the farm, and Hope. They discuss his childhood, how happy he was, and how things changed when Alyssa’s father died. Adam is frustrated by his distinct lack of a breakthrough.
Elsewhere, after telling Abby (Melissa Ordway) that he intends to remain Adam’s friend, Chance (Danny Boaz) heads over to Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) place to inform her of the same thing.
Adam comes home and admits that he and Sharon made no progress. Chelsea is convinced this is a sign that they should forget the whole thing. (See what we did there?)
Lights, Camera, Action
The Post Office is obviously working like gangbusters in Wisconsin (this is good), as the Abbotts get the film they’d had Dina’s (Marla Adams) house manager send from Paris. They watch it and find a home movie of Dina with baby Jack, while John talks about what a happy family they are. Jack assumes this is what Dina was trying to communicate to them. That was easy… The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
