The Young and the Restless Spoilers December 21 2020
The Young and the Restless spoilers for December 21-25, 2020, tease Amanda left with more questions than answers, Chloe and Kevin stymied by Gloria’s latest stunt, and much more.
Amanda (Mishael Morgan) reaches out to Devon (Bryton James) and reveals that the private investigator she hired to track down her mother has been successful. He’s uncovered her name, Naya, her status as a member of a well-to-do family, and he’s even managed to snag a recently taken photograph of her.
But with these answers come more questions. Why did Naya give her babies away? Why was only one adopted out and the other placed in the foster care system? And why did Naya never attempt to locate her children?
Amanda informs Devon that she won’t be seeking an audience with Naya…then changes her mind when the P.I. reveals that the woman lives an hour’s drive from Genoa City. Amanda asks Devon to accompany her on her trip, and he readily agrees.
While preparing for the move from the Chancellor estate to their own, much more intimate abode, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) happen upon the flash drive that Gloria (Judith Chapman) stashed.
Initially, the duo assumes that it belongs to either Jill (Jess Walton) or Chance (Justin Gaston), so they offer it up to the latter. When he can’t explain the object’s origins, a suspicious Chloe insists that she and Kevin keep hold of it and investigate further.
When Kevin opens the drive on his laptop, he’s shocked to find a photograph of his mother…but what exactly does it all mean, and what is Gloria up to?
In other Genoa City news, Jack (Peter Bergman) reflects on Christmases past, and receives a surprise, though welcomed, guest for Christmas Eve. Also, a Grinch-like Victoria (Amelia Heinle) struggles to get into the holiday spirit.
Meanwhile, Victor (Eric Braeden) gives Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) the ultimate Christmas gift, Elena (Brytni Sarpy) dreams of a fresh start, and Sally (Courtney Hope) opens up about her past.
Finally, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) takes matters into her own hands, and a certain someone crashes Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) wedding!
Note: In observance of the holiday season, YR will be not airing a new episode on Friday, December 25. Instead, a repeat from last year, which features the Abbott family celebrating Dina’s (Marla Adams) last Christmas, will be shown. The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
