On The Young and the Restless, District Attorney Michael Baldwin offered Billy a deal: Plead guilty to accidentally shooting Chance while he was really aiming for Adam, and Michael will promise him a reduced sentence.

The Young and the Restless Polling

Billy’s (Jason Thompson) lawyer, Amanda (Mishael Morgan), wanted to talk through the pros and cons of the offer, but Billy threw a temper tantrum, insisting he didn’t need anyone around him who didn’t believe wholeheartedly in his innocence and fired her. Did he do the right thing, or just dig himself into a deeper hole? What almost 3,000 fans told us:

Advice Column

Listen to your lawyer, Billy, an emphatic 60% of you insist. She’s the expert. She knows what she’s doing. You are a hot-head who rarely has any idea what you’re doing. Her job as your lawyer is to lay out all of your options.

If she actually didn’t discuss Michael’s (Christian J. Le Blanc) offer, she would be disbarred. A lawyer isn’t supposed to be your cheerleader. They’re supposed to view the situation objectively and give you the best possible counsel under the circumstances. If Billy wants somebody to just gaze at him adoringly then he’s right, Lily (Christel Khalil) is the better partner for all this. But, the last time Lily went to court, she ended up in prison. So maybe she’s not the best person to listen to?

My Way Or The Highway

Of course, Billy was right, 40% of the audience is just as emphatic. Amanda was voicing reasonable doubts. Billy doesn’t need any of that negative energy. Lily and her sleuthing skills are just what he needs.

She tells Billy what he wants to hear. Who needs lawyers when you have a supportive (kind of) girlfriend? And if Billy ends up in prison, well, Lily knows the visiting protocol better than most! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
