Y&R Spoilers: The Parents of Genoa City Rise To the Occasion

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, March 15 is an episode of The Parent Trap, as Summer and Kyle remember they have a child, and Chelsea and Adam work together to prove to Connor that he is even more important than they’ve already spent years telling him he was.

We Live on Borrowed Time

Kyle (Michael Mealor) didn’t even meet his biological son, Harrison (Kellen Enriquez), until the boy was in preschool. At the time, Harrison called Ashland (Robert Newman), “Father,” but then added Kyle as “Daddy” to his repertoire. Harrison still had a mommy, Tara (Elizabeth Lanier). But then she went to jail, and Summer (Allison Lanier) easily slid into that slot. (This is the way the Abbott and Newman family trees got tangled.)

Summer now calls herself Harrison’s mother and stresses that she and Kyle share a child. As far as we know, she never adopted him. That would have required Tara’s permission, and we don’t see that happening. Now that Summer and Kyle are divorced, she has no claim to the boy whatsoever. Except they haven’t made that clear to Harrison. He’s already lost two parents. Is it any wonder he’s acting up at the thought of losing more?

Don’t You Forget About Me

Connor (Judah Mackey) is unhappy! Quick, rush all the available adults of Genoa City into high alert! Chelsea (Melissa Claire Eagan) is worried! Adam (Mark Grossman) is worried! Billy (Jason Thompson) is worried! Sally (Courtney Hope) is worried! Nick (Joshua Morrow) is worried! Chance (Conner Floyd) is worried! Sharon (Sharon Case) is worried! Not enough?

We’re sure Victor (Eric Braeden) will be worried shortly since he’s just dealt with the Jordan (Colleen Zenk) situation (which became an instant iconic soap moment). His other grandchildren’s home just burned down. But Johnny (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie will be fine. Connor, on the other hand, Connor’s problems trump everybody else’s.

May/December

Tucker (Trevor St. John) may be old enough to be Audra’s (Zuleyka Silver, who has enjoyed Daylight Saving Time) father, and he may be her mentor, but they definitely don’t have a father/daughter relationship. (Except in the creepiest of ways.) Nonetheless, Tucker thinks he can boss her around like the elder statesman he perceives himself to be. Yeah, no…Audra don’t play that. And it’s time for her to explain that to him.
