Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from three of the daytime dramas (no changes at BB). Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.
Days of our Lives’ renewal announcement wasn’t the only big news for the soap. Robert Scott Wilson has inked a new deal to remain onboard as Ben Weston. Also, Jackee Harry has been bumped from recurring to full-time status as Paulina Price.
Michael Lowry returns as Dr. Snyder on Thursday, May 20, and Friday, May 21 in key scenes with Emily O’Brien’s Gwen, while Tina Huang pops back in as Melinda Trask on Thursday, May 20.
On the DAYS exit front, Marci Miller departs Salem as Abigail Deveraux DiMera on Friday, May 21. Look for the character to decide to leave town to clear her head from all the Gwen drama, after sharing an emotional goodbye with Chad (Billy Flynn). The move was dictated by Miller’s maternity leave from the soap.
General Hospital’s long-awaited tribute to the late John Reilly, who portrayed WSB agent Sean Donely, airs Friday, May 21. Kristina Wagner and Kimberly Mccullough return as Felicia Jones and Robin Scorpio-Drake, respectively, to attend Sean’s funeral. Also on hand will be Caitlin Reilly, Tik Tok star and John Reilly’s real-life daughter, portraying Sean and Tiffany’s (Sharon Wyatt) daughter, Annie Donely.
Kimberly J. Brown’s mystery GH role has been revealed. She’s playing the fake Chloe Jennings, the nurse Peter hired to care for and spy on his pregnant baby mama, Maxie (Kirsten Storms).
Carolyn Hennesy is back on the scene as attorney Diane Miller on Tuesday, May 18. She’ll share scenes with Laura Wright’s Carly.
There’s a new toddler on the set of The Young and the Restless. Kellen Enriquez is portraying Harrison Locke, the three-year-old biological son of Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Tara (Elizabeth Leiner). The tyke made his first appearance on May 14.
Michael Bofshever returns as Dr. Hedges on Thursday, May 20. The character is part of Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) medical team. Please note that air dates may be subject to change.
