Poor Kyle Abbott has never been particularly good at making decisions on The Young and the Restless. Remember how long he spent waffling between Summer Newman and Lola Rosales? Now he’s stuck between a trio of women.
Young and the Restless Polling
There’s Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) mother, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). There’s Kyle’s wife, Summer (Allison Lanier). And there’s Summer’s mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who seems unable to so much as think of Diane without breaking out into shrieks even dogs find too shrill for their ears. Should Kyle give up on having a relationship with Diane in order to keep Summer’s mother — and thus Summer — calm…er?
Young and Restless: Cut Your Losses
Dump that mom, 55% of you are cheering. You lived fine for over a decade without her, you can live plenty of more decades equally well. You’ve heard the expression: Happy wife, happy life? Nothing is more important that keeping Summer happy. And Summer cannot be happy if Phyllis is in a state of perennial hysteria. If Diane is what’s giving Phyllis the vapors, then Diane is who Kyle (Michael Mealor) needs to cut loose. It’s all her fault, obviously.
Wait For Young and the Restless Evidence
He can wait until Phyllis and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) dig up the dirt that has to be there on Diane, 28% of the audience caution. Once there is actual evidence that she is the worst person who ever walked through Genoa City, Kyle will be justified in turning his back on his mom.
Young & Restless: Rich White Man
Kyle should be able to have both, 17% insist. He’s rich. Rich people shouldn’t have to make tough choices. That would be as silly as asking him to face the consequences of his actions. Kyle wants his wife and his mother, so Kyle should get his wife and his mother. Phyllis is the odd man out here.
