The Y&R spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 5, 2022, brings a shocking blast from the past for Noah Newman. It remains to be seen how his girlfriend, Allie Nguyen, will handle it.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) panicked as Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) knocked on Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) hotel suite door. He insisted that she go hide, and he’d handle it. Tucker opened the door with a quip about being Victor’s competition. Then he invited The Mustache in, apologizing for failing to have an appropriate drink.

Victor asked Tucker why he’d returned, and he said it was to visit Dominic Chancellor and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). However, Victor called him out, noting that if Tucker had really wanted to see his son and grandson, he wouldn’t have crashed Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) boring party. He demanded to know Tucker’s real agenda in Genoa City. Of course, Tucker said he no longer had hidden agendas because he’d been on a spiritual journey, but Victor didn’t buy it at all.
Then, Victor pointed out that he wasn’t the only one who’d recently returned to Genoa City — Diane also recently arrived. Tucker denied knowing anything about her other than what he saw at the Abbotts. He promised Victor that he had no ill will against him or his family. According to Tucker, the truth of his visit was to reconnect with Devon, but he wasn’t sure how to go about doing it. Victor advised him not to try to reconnect by using a helicopter.
Victor asked Tucker what else he was up to, and the recently returned GC citizen admitted that he wanted to make amends with Ashely Abbott (Eileen Davidson). Victor didn’t seem too sold on Tucker’s ability to reconcile with Ashley, and he suggested that Tucker go back to wherever he came from because Ashley didn’t need Tucker’s BS.
Victor left, and Diane charged out of her hiding spot to ask Tucker why he was provoking all of Genoa City’s most powerful people. Tucker merely laughed and reveled in all the fun he was having, stirring up trouble. Diane took him to task for being cheeky and provoking Victor, and Tucker wasn’t moved. Then, she tearfully declared that she cannot be associated with Tucker because she won’t lose the progress she’s made with her family. Diane turned to leave, but Tucker offered to make a deal. All Tucker wanted was for Diane to let him know when Ashley returned. If she did that, she’d be free of him.
Young and the Restless: Putting The Pieces Together
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) talked all about how the Bentley that Tucker tried to gift Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) was the same make and model as the one Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) told Nikki about.
Nikki said that Private Image funded young artists in the United Kingdom, and the main benefactor, a fund named Wild Beauty Incorporated, drew funds from it. Phyllis pointed out that was the nickname John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) had for Ashley, but she thought it was odd that Tucker didn’t have his name on it since he liked to brag so much. Even so, the women felt certain that something was up with Diane and Tucker. Then, Nikki realized that Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) had been a young artist in the U.K., so she hoped he could help her.
Victor showed up, and Phyllis split. He told Nikki he didn’t like her working with Phyllis. Victor let his wife know that Tucker wanted to make amends with Ashley, and Nikki said that was obvious.
Y&R Spoilers Recap: Caught Between Two Brothers
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) stopped by Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) office, and they talked business while smiling. He left, and Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) walked in, and she noted that Nick had been there. Then she warned that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), knowing about Sally and Nick, could explode. Chloe cautioned Sally that it wasn’t good for her to be caught between two brothers, and she advised her to think long and hard about continuing with Nick since he’s their boss.
Speaking of exploding, Adam met Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) at Crimson Lights, and she tried to talk, but he put an immediate stop to it. He took Chelsea to task for telling Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) about Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) being his biological brother — after all, they talk about everything. Chelsea said Adam chose business over their son, so she told him before Johnny could.
Adam wondered why she told Connor so quickly. He blamed her for telling Connor for herself instead of Connor’s good. After all, neither Connor nor Johnny had any questions about their biological families. She continued to refer to herself as Johnny’s mom, and Adam called her out on it. Chelsea went off, saying she was technically Johnny’s mom. Adam pointed out that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) was Johnny’s mom after the adoption, and Chelsea said things had changed.

Then, Nick walked in on their argument and wondered what was going on. Chelsea reassured Nick that things were fine, and then she left. Nick advised his brother to keep his private conversations out of the coffee shop, and Adam wondered why his brother was suddenly interfering in every aspect of his life.
Nick denied that he was doing anything about Adam’s life, and Adam shocked his brother by agreeing. Adam said he wanted to talk to Nick as brothers like they had after he donated his kidney to Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), and Nick was willing. Adam relayed that Chelsea had told Connor about Johnny without him there, and Nick was surprised Chelsea had done that. Then Nick apologized to Adam for jumping to conclusions about him.
Adam wanted to talk about Sally, but Nick didn’t. However, Adam insisted, and then he revealed that he’s still in love with Sally. He declared that he’d seen a future with Sally, that he missed her, and wanted her back. Nick suggested that Adam listen to what Sally had said, but Adam pointed out that not everybody says what they want. Adam noted he was being open and honest with Nick, and he asked his brother if he thought he could love Sally or have a future with her. Adam asked Nick to back off because he wanted to give Sally what she deserved — everything. Instead of changing course, after Adam left, Nick called Sally to ask if she was free.
Noah enjoyed seeing people having fun at his Glam Club, and Allie (Kelsey Wang) was there cheering him on. The two enjoyed some time together on the dance floor.
Later, Nick walked into The Glam Club and greeted Allie and Noah. Noah thanked his dad for showing up solo to support him, and Nick said he wasn’t alone. Sally showed up, and Noah and Allie were suitably scandalized. Noah hoped that it was only business. Noah said that Kyle and Summer weren’t planning to go out, which left Allie relieved, given that Summer’s dad was at the club with her nemesis. Noah thanked Allie for supporting him, and then Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) walked up to Noah and said, “Noah, it’s been a long time.”
Nick and Sally sat with some champagne, and she wanted to talk about what was going on between them.
As for Chelsea, she ended up atop The Grand Phoenix in the dark. Alone. She cried and screamed her lungs out, but it didn’t seem to help her.
