Tucker McCall returned to Genoa City in fine fashion just in time for Summer Newman Abbott and Kyle Abbott’s vow renewal on The Young and the Restless. It’s been a while since he’s been on-screen, so here are some tidbits about the son Katherine Chancellor gave up.

Five Fast Facts About Tucker McCall

Trevor St. John is the third actor to portray Tucker on Y&R. The first actor who brought him to the story in 2009 was William Russ (ex-Burt McGowan, Another World), and Days of our Lives star Stephen Nichols (Steve Johnson) took over the role in 2010, continuing until 2013. Here are five fast facts about Tucker McCall to refresh your memory about who he is and what he did in Genoa City.

1. Tucker was the son of Katherine (Jeanne Cooper) and Arthur Hendricks (David Hedison). He fathered Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), which makes him Dominic Chancellor’s biological grandfather. Katherine gave him up on September 29, 1957 (the same day Jill Foster [Jess Walton] was born), to help preserve her marriage to Gary Reynolds.

2. Tucker is a self-made man, and because his adoptive family was too poor to send him to college, he learned by auditing classes for free. Then, he went on to create Tucker McCall Unlimited, and through that multi-national conglomerate, he owned a variety of businesses, including a record and media company (there seem to be a lot of those in Genoa City) as well as a hotel in New York City. He even managed a hit band in the 1970s, which is how Tucker got his start.

3. Tucker actually sneakily acquired controlling shares of Chancellor Industries when Kay took it public the first time, which makes it even more interesting that he’s returned when the company, now called Chancellor-Winters, is considering a public offering again. He essentially stole Katherine’s company out from under her because he was the son she’d given up for adoption. At that point, Jabot was tied up with Chancellor Industries, and he sold it to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)…gasp!

4. Tucker had a marriage ceremony with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). However, the marriage was invalid because they never signed the paperwork, and Sharon’s husband, Victor, wasn’t actually dead. Before that, he was also married to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) for roughly a year, give or take, with a divorce and remarriage in there.

5. Tucker cheated on Ashley with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), and later, he was arrested for obstruction of justice in her murder trial. It also appears that Diane and Tucker had some type of connection during her years in Los Angeles (somehow, all that happened while he also went on a spiritual journey in Thailand and supposedly suffered ill effects of being around technology in 2019 or so).
