The Y&R spoilers recap for Thursday, March 3, 2022, brings a stunning realization for Adam Newman and Sally Spectra as they eye potentially running Newman Locke should things with Victoria Newman Locke fall apart. Plus, Nikki Newman warns Victor Newman that he might make things worse for their daughter, Nick Newman nearly spills the beans to Victoria, and Chance Chancellor finally gets some help.
After Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) faked feeling ill to keep Victoria (Amelia Heinle) signing the paperwork for his new position, Victoria was on the warpath. She felt that her father had put her husband under too much pressure. Meanwhile, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) warned Victor (Eric Braeden) that Ashland could turn their daughter against them. Is Victor absolutely sure that Ashland is faking?
Nick (Joshua Morrow), who’s finally back in with the Newman family again, showed up at Newman Locke where he encountered a furious Victoria. She read him the riot act over knowing about Victor’s meddling. Not surprisingly, Nick thought Victoria was talking about Victor learning about Ashland faking his cancer, and he very nearly spilled the beans. Wait, what? Victoria wondered what her brother meant. Oopsie.
Before Nick went to his sister, he and his brother Adam (Mark Grossman) sparred quite a bit. During their back and forth, Nick accused his brother of wanting Victoria to fail. Adam patiently pointed out all the things he’d done to support Victoria’s wedding to Ashland while Nick tried to stop it. Well, who was right in the end, though?
Speaking of supporting Victoria, Sally (Courtney Hope) happened in, and she got Adam to tell her what was going on. At first, Sally had nothing but sympathy for Victoria. However, it quickly dawned on her that if Victoria and Ashland imploded, chances are Victoria would no longer run the company.
That’s the million-dollar question, but clearly, Adam and Sally could see the possibility of power in their future. What could possibly go wrong? Silly children, Victor would take over before he allowed that…or would he?
Elsewhere, Chance (Conner Floyd) finally had an appointment with his therapist. Things went okay. Chance declared he simply wanted to be himself again — the ‘him’ before he went overseas and lost all his men in the safehouse explosion.
He went through all the strangeness that is Dominic, and then he admitted he had trouble bonding with his son. Plus, Chance told the therapist, who was a serviceman too, that he felt he was being punished for not saving his men. Perhaps this is the breakthrough Chance needed. Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) was there for him when he returned, and certainly, the therapy will be a process.
Finally, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) insisted that he keep Dominic for a few days. Sure, the baby just had a huge procedure, but why not? Devon’s a careful guy. Ultimately, Devon had Dom Six Names at his house, and he played piano for the infant. Then Devon waxed poetic about how great a musician or producer little Dominic would be when he grew up — to be just like his dad — but which one though?
