The Y&R spoilers recap for Tuesday, June 7, 2022, brings outrage from Victoria Newman as she confronts her family over their machinations against Ashland Locke. Plus, Ashland tries to convince Kyle Abbott to let him see Harrison Locke, Diane Jenkins tries to build rapport with Summer Newman Abbott, and Jack Abbott catches up with Allie Nguyen.
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) left Ashland (Robert Newman) stunned when she told him she wanted to not only try again but also leave town with him. She wanted a completely fresh start away from Genoa City and Newman Enterprises. Ashland made sure she would be okay with that, especially given Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and their children. Victoria assured him she would. She declared herself entirely through letting her family run her life.
At Newman Media, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) discussed the situation. Victor accused Adam of wanting to oust Victoria, but he convinced his father that wasn’t the case.
At the coffee shop, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) worried about Victoria. Soon, they, along with Adam and Victor received a call to meet at Newman.
Once everybody arrived, Victoria left them stunned with her announcement. She planned to walk away from Newman and throw her lot in with Ashland. Nick, Victor, and Nikki were aghast at the news, and Adam struggled to contain his glee.
Victor demanded Victoria stop, but she said there’s no way she’d stay and play by his rules. She invited them to find another puppet to do their bidding. Victoria proclaimed her independence and reclaimed her life.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Summer (Allison Lanier) went to breakfast with Diane (Susan Walters), but Jack (Peter Bergman) declined the invitation. At their meal, Diane tried to build some commonalities with Summer, and it seemed to work somewhat.
Ashland showed up and asked Kyle to let him see Harrison (Kellen Enriquez), but Kyle remained unmoved. Later, Diane commiserated with Ashland over the situation, especially blaming it on Victor. She wished him well, and Ashland said leaving Genoa City would be the best decision he’d ever made.
At the Abbott mansion, Jack talked with Allie (Kelsey Wang), and they realized similarities between Jack and Allie’s father. Then, talk turned to The Grinning Soul and Noah Newman (Rory Gibson). Jack had nothing but praise for the Newman grandson and seemed mildly amused by Allie’s interest in him.
Later, Jack, Kyle, and Summer returned from an off-screen pitch to Jabot over acquiring Marchetti. It went beautifully…so they said. Now they just have to nail down all the details. Then, Summer wanted to know about the history between Diane and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), but Jack just assured her that there’s no way those two would come to any type of truce.
