The Y&R spoilers recap for Thursday, June 2, 2022, brings an explosion between Jack Abbott and Phyllis Summers when he calls her out over Diane Jenkins. Plus, Diane tries to win over Allie Nguyen while Amanda Sinclair warns Imani Benedict away from Nate Hastings…again. Finally, Sally Spectra is Adam Newman’s number one fan.
Jack (Peter Bergman) took Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) to task over what he heard her say to Diane (Susan Walters). Phyllis tried to explain herself, but Jack didn’t want to hear it. Nothing could change that she admitted out loud that she got together with Jack to stick it to Diane. Jack accused Phyllis of arranging for Diane to catch them in the lobby of The Grand Phoenix after they made love and said it was tawdry and disgusting.
Phyllis begged Jack to fight for what they had, but he wondered who they needed to fight. Diane? Before they reached any official conclusion, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) walked in, and instantly caught the awkward atmosphere.
Summer went to visit Phyllis in her hotel suite. Phyllis tried to get her daughter to stop asking, but Summer persisted. Ultimately, Phyllis admitted she screwed up.
Earlier at Crimson Lights, Kyle and Summer talked with Diane. She admitted that she’d met Ashland Locke (Robert Newman). They weren’t thrilled, especially after she admitted that she identified with him. Then, Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) came in, and Diane asked her to have coffee with her. Allie wasn’t too thrilled with Diane’s way of introducing her to Jack even after Diane expressed her apologies. She called out Diane for lying to her. Even so, Diane expressed her hope that they could one day be friends.
Also at the coffee shop, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) and Elena (Brytni Sarpy) talked about Nate (Sean Dominic) and Devon (Bryton James). Amanda admitted that she’d warned Imani (Leigh-Ann Rose) against continuing to run after Nate. Elena said she wasn’t worried, and then she realized how she should enjoy Nate’s newfound happiness at work.
Devon and Nate met with a service provider, and she expressed concerns over the merger. Nate held his tongue, and after she left, Devon wanted to know why. He said it seemed like expressing all his ideas may be too overwhelming for her.
At The Grand Phoenix, Imani talked with Lily (Christel Khalil) and had some ideas. However, Lily quickly shut them down and advised Imani to go through her sister. Later, Amanda, Nate, and Devon joined them, and Imani cheered on all of Nate’s suggestions even though both Devon and Lily had reservations. Amanda pulled her sister away, giving her another warning to back off Nate. Imani told her sister to back off. Amanda fumed as Imani went right back to it.
Adam (Mark Grossman) and Sally (Courtney Hope) discussed the possibility that Kyle and Summer’s restraining order against Ashland might cause him to leave town. However, Sally still had hope that their plan to reunite Ashland and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) was still viable.
Even though Adam seemed down on the whole, Sally remained a cheerleader. In fact, she even encouraged him to create a Plan B for getting into the big office at Newman Enterprises. Plus, Sally suggested they be patient, appreciate what they have, and keep their eyes on the prize.
