The Y&R spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 27, 2022, brings word from Michael Baldwin that Victor Newman’s Ashland Locke situation is handled. Meanwhile, Nick Newman hands over evidence to Chance Chancellor while Victoria Newman bemoans her poor taste in men as Nikki Newman tries to soothe her, and Sally Spectra tries (and fails) to get the truth from Adam Newman.
Where in the world is Ashland (Robert Newman)? Nobody knows. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) agreed to stay at The Ranch, but first, she needed Victor (Eric Braeden) to take her by the office to get some files. At Newman Enterprises, they saw Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), so they filled her in on everything, and she was understandably upset.
Back at Victoria’s, Nick (Joshua Morrow) found Ashland’s ring on the floor, so he called his sister to confirm. Then, he took it to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) at Crimson Lights as evidence. Chance thanked him for handing it over and then asked if Nick had anything else to tell him. Chance’s phone rang, but he wouldn’t give Nick any details about the investigation. Earlier, Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) had also tried to get the good cop to give some details, but he wouldn’t.

Back at the office, Victor stepped out, and Victoria lamented to her mother how terrible she was at picking men. Nikki told Victoria it wasn’t bad to think the best of those she loved. Even so, it seemed Victoria at least attempted to do some introspection, but Nikki tried to stop her, saying she shouldn’t feel one ounce of guilt for bringing Ashland into their lives.
Michael showed up, and Victor came back in as the women left. Michael let Victor know that authorities had located Ashland’s car in a ravine. Victor only had one question — was Ashland inside, and Michael said yes. Presumably, that meant the end of the Locke-Ness Monster, but is it the end of the trouble he’s caused for the Newmans?
The Ghost of Christmas Past? No, it was just Sally (Courtney Hope), who bribed her way into Adam’s (Mark Grossman) room. She knew he’d be where they’d made such great memories. Once more, Sally begged Adam to tell her the truth, but he refused. Even after she told him about how she had nobody but her grandparents growing up, Adam remained unmoved.
Sally warned him that’d he’d regret his actions and that when he finally, at long last, came to his senses, Sally would’ve moved on. Then, as she left, Sally announced she planned to resign her position as CEO of Newman Media, and he told her not to, but she didn’t care what he wanted. Adam seemed upset, and then he booked a flight to Las Vegas, seeming an awful lot like the infamous Spider.
As for moving on, Sally blew into Crimson Lights, honing in on Nick. She noted that he seemed like he needed a redo, and he agreed. Sally offered to buy him coffee, and the duo seemed ripe for a hookup.
