Y&R Spoilers Recap For July 12: Nikki Ends Phyllis’s Diane Truce

The Y&R spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 12, 2022, brings hell freezing over…or something like it when Nikki Newman talks Phyllis Summers out of her Diane Jenkins truce, and Summer Newman Abbott wasn’t thrilled. Plus, Nick Newman dumped New Hope on Noah Newman, and he wasn’t too thrilled either, but talking to Allie Nguyen helped.

Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights

Well, you probably thought you’d never see another time when Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) teamed up, but that happened. Of course, before that, a few other things occurred.

First, Diane (Susan Walters) ran into Summer (Allison Lanier) at Crimson Lights, and her daughter-in-law asked her to leave before Nikki arrived. Unfortunately (fortunately?), Diane ran into Nikki on the way out, and they exchanged some not so pleasantries. Diane let Nikki know she wasn’t intimidated, and Nikki let Diane know she wasn’t welcome.

Young and the Restless: A Truce Ended

As for Phyllis, she got a dressing down from her son-in-law Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), and things got pretty ugly. Kyle even accused Phyllis of using Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to mark her territory in front of Diane. Ouch! For sure, Phyllis did do that, but doesn’t Kyle know she’s ultra sorry?

After her run-in with Kyle, Phyllis happened across Nikki and Summer on the Crimson Lights patio. As soon as Nikki saw her, she hoped to have an ally in telling Summer not to trust Diane. Phyllis made a half-hearted attempt to stick to her truce, but Nikki quickly talked her out of it, much to Summer’s dismay.

Y&R Spoilers Recap: A Family Affair

Nick (Joshua Morrow) gathered Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), Noah (Rory Gibson), and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) at Society for a big family meeting. Noah and Faith also had some news, but they insisted their dad go first.

Good news gang, after years of doing everything in his power to get out of helping run the family business, Nick decided to become the Chief Operating Officer of Newman Enterprises. Noah and Faith were somewhat speechless, but then they agreed they were happy if Nick was happy. Then, Noah decided not to share his news.

Faith wasn’t so shy, though. She jabbered on about her upcoming college semester, and she even admitted she planned to intern at Newman Enterprises every summer and would eventually take over the whole family biz…um, you go, girl? When Sharon worried about Noah’s lack of enthusiasm over taking the reins at New Hope, both Faith and Nick thought she was overreacting.

Y&R: True Love?

Allie (Kelsey Wang) had a talk with her great aunt Traci (Beth Maitland), but Traci wasn’t forthcoming about Phyllis and Jack’s relationship. She advised her great-niece to talk to Jack. However, after Diane came over and tried to talk with Allie, later Traci also told Allie to follow her instincts when it came to both Phyllis and Diane and stay away from them.

Then, Allie got a text from Noah, so they met in Chancellor Park. Oh no! Poor Noah doesn’t really want to work at New Hope. It was supposed to be a temporary gig. Whatever will he do? Allie advised him to follow his heart, and Noah asked her to help him figure out his future, which she happily agreed to do…is it true love for these two? Perhaps.
