The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, October 24, 2023, brings Victor declaring he can no longer trust his wife not to reveal his plan to their children.

Also in this episode, Nate told Victoria he’d found Adam in Victor’s chair at Newman Enterprises. Adam tried in vain to get Nick to help him with their dad, so Adam took matters into his own hands. Nick told Victor to come clean about the whole thing. Danny, Phyllis, Lily, and Daniel had a meal together. This led to Daniel and Lily fighting and sparks between Danny and Phyllis, while Christine returned home. Now let’s dig deeper into what happened.
Young and the Restless: Confidences
At the ranch, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) flashed back to figuring out Victor (Eric Braeden) was faking. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) walked in, and she wondered how worried they should be about Victor’s mental confusion.
Victor interrupted their conversation, asking why Victoria showed up so late. He complained that his daughter was perpetuating that he was “losing his marbles,” and Victoria picked up on the tension between her parents. However, Victor played it off as a private matter. Victoria begged her dad to talk to a professional, and Victor agreed to think about it.

At Newman Enterprises, Nate (Sean Dominic) caught Adam (Mark Grossman) sitting in the CEO chair. Nate said he had to tell Victor, and Adam said Victor had asked for private paperwork before he left, leaving Nate suspicious.
Later, Adam found Nick (Joshua Morrow) at the jazz club bar. He asked Nick to put everything else aside to talk about their father. Nick suggested that Victor had a grand plan, and he explained all the things that Victor had done recently. Adam relayed that Victor had ranted to him about Nick or Victoria sabotaging him, and he shared Victor’s doodle with Nick.
They disagreed about the meaning of the doodle. Adam said he understood why Nick didn’t trust him, but Nick reminded him about all the things Adam had done to sabotage Victor. However, Adam insisted he was sincere. Nick said he’d take care of it, but Adam wanted to present a united front to Victor with family unity.
“Do you really hate me that much that you would refuse to work together to do what’s best for our father?” Adam asked. After some argument, Nick said he’d handle the whole thing, warning Adam to stay out of it. After Nick left, Adam called Dr. Skelton to get help with Victor.

Back at the ranch, Victoria got a text from Nate, and after she left, Nikki took Victor to task over lying to their daughter. Nikki complained that Victor was manipulating their children, and Victor said he couldn’t trust Nikki any longer. However, Nikki angrily denied she would’ve told their daughter the truth because she’d never betray his trust. Nikki begged Victor to reconsider. As they talked, Nick walked in and said, “Dad, I’m onto you. Time to come clean.”

Victoria and Nate met at Society, and she relayed what had happened at the ranch. The tension between her parents bothered her. Victoria admitted how hard it was for her to imagine, given how Victor had been almost mythical her whole life.
Nate relayed that he’d found Adam at Victor’s desk. He thought Adam was taking advantage of the situation, and neither Victoria nor Nate bought his act.
Y&R Recap: Sparks And Fights
At Daniel’s (Michael Graziadei) new place, he, Lily (Christel Khalil), Danny (Michael Damian), and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) enjoyed a meal atop moving boxes. Things between Phyllis and Daniel got contentious, but the others smoothed it over a bit. Of course, Phyllis brought up Heather and Lucy’s return, and that was awkward, too.
Danny and Phyllis reminisced about Daniel’s childhood. Daniel didn’t love being the butt of some of the jokes, though. Danny reminded Daniel that Phyllis had turned her life around, and he suggested they all have a new appreciation of family, so they toasted to that. Before she and Danny left, Phyllis said how happy she was for her children and Danny to be back in town.
Daniel apologized to Lily for his mother’s behavior. Lily felt it was fine, but Daniel did not love that Phyllis had mentioned Heather’s name so frequently. However, Lily said that Daniel should be happy that Lucy was returning, and she championed Phyllis. Lily complained that Daniel was judging his mother, and she declared he had the problem, making things about Heather.
Daniel got angry as they talked, and Lily took it as him being more upset about the whole thing than she was. However, Daniel said he was upset because Phyllis wanted Heather to be an issue for them. Lily suggested he stop making Heather an issue, then.
Danny and Phyllis enjoyed a nightcap at Crimson Lights, and they discussed the evening. Phyllis said she didn’t see Daniel and Lily lasting, and Danny warned her not to meddle. She said she wasn’t, and Phyllis admitted she didn’t want their son to get his heart broken. Danny pointedly reminded her that couples did sometimes get a second chance to make things work, and she agreed.
They flirted back and forth over tea, both agreeing how great it’d felt to be together with their son. There was a spark as they said goodnight, and Phyllis left while Danny stayed to finish his tea on the patio. Christine (Lauralee Bell) walked in, and he said, “hi.”
