Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Also in this episode, Victoria told Nikki off about Victor. Adam told Victor the truth. Claire ended up convincing Nikki to visit her ailing aunt. Now let’s dig deeper into what happened.
New Directions
Nick (Joshua Morrow) walked into Crimson Lights as Sharon (Sharon Case) got a telephone update about Chance. She updated her ex-husband and business partner on her boyfriend getting shot. Sharon also told Nick that Summer had been to the hospital, which surprised him.
Sharon wondered what was going on with Nick, and he updated her that Victor revealed he’d been faking his mental decline in an attempt to catch a traitor. She couldn’t believe that Nate turned out to be the traitor, but Nick assured her that he’d become quite ruthless.

As they talked, Sharon wondered what Victor’s plan was to clean things up at Newman Enterprises, and she quickly realized that Nick was considering returning to be his dad’s ally. Nick said he hadn’t decided yet, and he didn’t want to leave her in a lurch. Sharon admitted she liked being partners with Nick, but she urged him to do what was best for him and his family.
“God help me. I really feel that Newman and my father…they need me right now,” Nick said. Sharon told him to do what he had to do.
Recriminations And Pity Parties
At Newman Media, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) berated Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) for going along with Victor’s plan. However, Nikki wasn’t interested in taking any blame, but she did admit she regretted keeping Victor’s secret. She did warn her daughter, though, that Nate wasn’t trustworthy.
Victoria didn’t agree that Nate was a traitor, and she yelled at her mother for thinking Victor was always right. They argued, and Claire (Hayley Erin) interrupted because she had an urgent call, so Victoria left. Claire told Nikki that her aunt, who lived alone, had fallen and broken her arm.
Nikki immediately told Claire to go take care of her aunt. Claire revealed that her Aunt Jordan was Nikki’s biggest fan. Nikki also told Claire she was going to see her sister, and she offered to give Claire a ride to her aunt’s on the way. Claire asked if Nikki would stop in to meet her aunt, and Nikki reluctantly agreed.
Confession Is Good For The Soul
At Newman Enterprises, Victor (Eric Braeden) thanked Adam (Mark Grossman) for protecting him instead of betraying him. Adam revealed that he hadn’t been honest about his agreement to work his way up from the bottom…the whole thing was a lie.
Victor wondered what changed, and Adam admitted that when he thought his dad was truly ailing, all he could think about was helping Victor get better. Adam also praised his father for his plan because he had reasons to worry that Nate, Victoria, or even Adam himself might be a traitor.
After more honesty, Adam wanted to know what happened to him next, and he admitted he didn’t think it was a good idea for him to work his way up from the bottom at Newman Enterprises. Adam asked for Nate’s position, but Victor felt if Victoria stayed on as co-CEO it would cause too much friction. Victor declared Adam and Victoria had to work out their differences. Ultimately, Adam felt he’d be third in line, and he wasn’t pleased.
Nick showed up, and he ran into Adam in the hallway. They argued back and forth a bit, and Nick said he still felt on guard with Adam despite his younger brother’s recent decent behavior. The brothers agreed to stop talking (so they’d stop arguing), and Adam let Nick know their dad had left for the day. He wanted to know if Nick planned to return to Newman, but Nick declined to tell him.
Adam walked back into the office, and he sat in the CEO chair.
Wrapping Up The Evening
Victor stopped by Nikki’s office and asked her to go home with him. She wanted to talk about his deceit, and she relayed that Victoria was furious. They talked, and Victor encouraged Nikki to go ahead and take her upcoming trip despite their family drama.
Victoria sat at the bar at the jazz club, and she flashed back to her recent conversation with Nate. She texted Nate that she wanted to work things out, and Nick joined her. She admitted Nate wasn’t answering her, and Nick urged his sister to let the relationship go, but Victoria wasn’t interested in that.
Talk turned to what would happen next at Newman, but they didn’t really know what Victor would do next. She wondered if Nick planned to return.
At the GCAC, Claire skulked down the stairs and looked shifty.
