The Y&R recap for Monday, December 3, 2022, brings exes reconnecting, a father giving a son a dire warning, another father reconnecting with his son and grandson, a desperate woman opening the door to danger, and so much more. You won’t want to miss a bit of what happened.
Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) spent time with Dominic, while Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) continued to warn everybody about Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) tried to convince Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) that they’d gone too far in their plan to rid themselves of Diane. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) warned Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about “that woman” Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) while she and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) reconnected. Here’s a deeper look at what happened.
Tucker showed up at the Crimson Lights patio, and he had a run-in with Diane. She stood her ground, and they clashed a bit over Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). Diane let Tucker know that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) were on her side, and Tucker said the men didn’t know what they were dealing with. He called them fools, and Diane had lots to say as they rehashed everything.
Diane called Tucker a bastard, and he agreed with her assessment. He had no doubt that the women would use the information he provided them against Diane. They argued back and forth, and Devon walked in, inviting Tucker to meet his grandson. Diane thought that was a precious gift, and after an awkward moment, the men split while Diane stayed and texted Jack about dinner plans.
At Devon’s, Tucker enjoyed meeting Dominic. The grandfather noted that the baby looked just like Devon, and he lamented not knowing his son as a child. As they played on the floor with toys, Tucker and Devon gushed about the baby being ahead of the curve with his fine motor skills. Devon extolled Dominic’s strengths, and the little boy even said he liked to dance. Tucker praised Devon for raising Dominic with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), and he wondered if there was something more between Abby and Devon, but Devon denied it. Ultimately, Tucker promised to be there for Dominic.

Phyllis wasn’t happy with Ashley and Nikki’s reaction to her calling Stark. The women clashed over Phyllis using a burner phone to tip off the criminal. Phyllis revealed that she’d alerted Stark to Diane making a deal that got him arrested. She couldn’t understand why the women were so upset, and Ashley revealed that she and Nikki had been having serious doubts about inviting a criminal into their midst, and Phyllis pointed out it was too late for that.
Phyllis absolutely lost it over her cohorts backing down on getting Diane out of their lives. She pulled out all the stops to convince them why they needed to stay the course. Nikki and Ashley worried that the whole thing might backfire, especially since they didn’t know for sure if Diane really sent Stark to prison.
Nikki said she would have Victor increase security for all their families. The doorbell rang, and it was Diane. She confronted them about trying to screw things up for her, and Phyllis said she was wrong. Diane explained how the women’s vendetta against her had already backfired, given that Jack and Kyle are helping protect her. She also called them out on their hypocrisy.
Diane sat down to wait for Jack, and the women left. After a while, the doorbell rang, and Diane opened it to Jeremy Stark!
Nick knocked on Sally’s hotel room door, but she wasn’t there. Instead, Sally was working on business at Society, and Adam walked up to her table. Sally insisted that she was doing fine, but she eventually admitted to her ex that she wasn’t fine. Adam sat down, and he took responsibility for whatever caused Sally’s state, and she let him know in no uncertain terms that HE was her issue — especially after his proposal.
Adam insisted that he absolutely had to propose, so he wasn’t at all sorry. Sally admitted that Adam had absolutely gotten under her skin. Later they ended up at her hotel, and Adam said he hated that it was so unsettling for her to run into him. Sally expressed how much it sucked that it was so hard to talk to Adam since he used to be the easiest person to talk to.
Sally explained that she still felt a connection and love for Adam, and she explained why the way Adam hurt her was so difficult to overcome. Adam once again apologized for his behavior, and he asked her to let him try again so that they could finally get it right. They admitted to wanting each other, and they kissed.
Nick met Victor at Society, and he updated his father on business. Victor noted that Nick seemed off his game, and The Mustache blamed it on “that Spectra woman.” Nick took offense to his father’s terminology, and Victor admitted that he knew that Nick and Adam were involved in a triangular relationship with that woman. Victor declared that fighting with Adam over a woman like Sally Spectra was detrimental to Nick’s life.
Nick thought that his personal life had nothing to do with business, but Victor said it had everything to do with it. Victor revealed that he had a dossier on Sally and that Sally had faked a serious illness to keep a man’s interest. Nick explained that Sally had worked hard to make changes, and he explained that Sally had turned down his funding offer. Nick noted that Adam didn’t deserve Sally. Victor reiterated that Sally was just a symptom of the ongoing fight between Nick and Adam, and he warned Nick that he’d regret choosing Sally over family.
