The B&B recap for Friday, December 2, 2022, sees a long-in-coming family reunion, a much-anticipated face-to-face, continued back and forth between siblings with similar yet different viewpoints.
B&B Recap Highlights
In this episode, Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) was returned to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle), Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) took Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) to task for the subterfuge she employed, and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) refused to take responsibility for his actions. Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Just Like Old Times
Despite anxiously awaiting Douglas’s arrival, Liam and Hope took the time to listen to Brooke’s recapitulation of recent events…and they were shocked. Shocked! Thomas did something bad?! Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was the voice of reason?! Brooke didn’t take Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) back with open arms but rather told him to take stock and decide whether it was her or Taylor who he really wanted?! Wonders will never cease.
Brooke eventually took her leave of the couple, as did Eric Forrester (John McCook), who’d swung by with Douglas in tow — but not before he praised his great-grandson for being smart, funny, and brave and for knowing right from wrong, rare commodities indeed for a Forrester.
B&B Recap: Showdown
Brooke is incredibly disappointed in Taylor, and she personally registered the complaint with her rival. Just what exactly was Taylor thinking? Did she really think that she could start her marriage to Ridge with a heinous lie and then just blithely confess it all on the honeymoon? Did she have enough self-respect not to tie herself to a man who was only marrying her because he was blindly angry at the woman he truly loves? Isn’t Taylor supposed to be good, decent, and honest? Isn’t that why Thomas and Steffy always preferred her to Brooke — aside from the obvious, of course.
Oh, and Taylor really needs to get her son some professional help. Some REAL professional help. From someone who isn’t his enabling mother. On that, the women could agree.
Actually, the two could agree on a lot of things: Thomas’s issues, Steffy being the hero of the story, Taylor doing bad, and Ridge having to finally, FINALLY make a choice between them. Once and for all. No more hedging. No more waffling.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Blame Game
Try as she might, Steffy just could not convince Thomas that he had done a very bad thing. The way he saw it, everything that transpired was Steffy’s fault because she had to go and be *ick* honest with Ridge. Who does she think she is?! Where does she get off acting like a goody two shoes when she’s wanted to see Brooke extricated from their father’s life for just as long as Thomas?! Why does she get to be painted as the saint while he’s the sinner?
B&B Recap: Confidentially Speaking
Now that Thomas’s call to Child Protective Services is out in the open, Hope conceded that she may, MAY have been wrong about him. Also, she decided that now would be the perfect time to confess to Liam that Thomas tried to kiss her a few nights back. But have no fear, she leaned way back and not at all in. Liam has nothing to worry about. She most decidedly does not want Thomas. Liam is it for her.
