Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Also in this episode, Nikki spies Audra chatting with Tucker and warns her away from him while Nick gives his father a warning about Nate and Adam. Finally, Billy puts the puzzle pieces together and lets Jack and Diane know Phyllis and Tucker are behind the strange money transfers. Now let’s dig deeper into what happened.
Young and the Restless: Money Mystery
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) demanded her money from Tucker (Trevor St. John), and he told her to meet him at his suite to work it out. Billy (Jason Thompson) walked up as Phyllis wrapped up the conversation and noticed it was intense.
Phyllis blamed her phone call on looking for employment, and Billy empathized. As they talked, Phyllis called out Billy for not really feeling concerned about her. He surmised that Phyllis had teamed up with Tucker, but she denied it.
At Jabot, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) got notice of a flagged transaction. After looking at it, Jack let his wife know that there was a strange transaction that Billy had authorized.
Later, when Billy showed up, Jack confronted him about the transaction, and Billy denied it. Jack wanted to figure out who had set Billy up to look like he was embezzling. Jack got another alert that the money had been moved to Billy’s account, and Billy immediately knew it was Phyllis who was working with Tucker.
Young and the Restless Recap: Celebrate
At Society, Chance (Conner Floyd) told Summer (Allison Lanier) that he was the new chief of police. Sharon was out of town, so he celebrated with Summer. Over lunch, they chatted about Chance’s new job.
At Newman Enterprises, Nick (Joshua Morrow) updated Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that Victoria planned to bring up Victor’s competence. Nick actually wanted to know if there was anything to worry about with Victor’s mental capacity. Nikki wasn’t worried, but she did feel concerned that Victoria’s pushing would force him to take on more responsibility.
Victor (Eric Braeden) walked in, wondering what Nikki wanted to keep an eye on. Nikki left, and Nick told his father that Victoria was worried about his mental capacity. While Nick didn’t agree with his sister, he was concerned about Adam’s potential scheme. Nick worried that both Nate and Adam would team up against Victor. Victor pressured Nick to return to Newman, but he wasn’t willing.
Audra (Zuleyka Silver) walked up to Tucker at the GCAC and asked him how his Abbott/Jabot plans were going, and he admitted they’d hit a snag. Nikki walked in and spied Audra chatting with Tucker. After Tucker left, Nikki warned Audra not to have any relationship with Tucker.
Over lunch, Audra reassured Nikki that she didn’t need to worry about Tucker. However, Nikki wasn’t convinced, and she said she questioned Audra’s judgment. Audra wondered if Nikki wanted to vet all her friends. However, Nikki insisted that her warnings were for Audra’s own good.
Audra mentioned Tucker was her mentor, which piqued Nikki’s curiosity, and Audra said she was giving him feedback on returning to the music business. Nikki said she wanted to become Audra’s new mentor.
Nick saw Summer and Chance at Society. Chance left, and Nick noticed there was something between Summer and Chance. Summer insisted she was just friends with Chance, and she pressured her dad to give Phyllis a job. Nick agreed to talk to Sharon about it. She pointedly asked about Nick’s relationship with Sharon, and he said it was a nice working relationship.
Young and the Restless Recap: Double Cross
Phyllis showed up at Tucker’s suite, and he wanted to know why she did the transfer the way she did. She said she was protecting herself. What’s more, she also set up some additional safeguards, and to stop them, Phyllis demanded additional money.
Tucker pointed out they make a good team, but Phyllis wasn’t interested. He called her a fool for thinking she could change her true nature, but Phyllis said she’d rather die than not change. Tucker transferred the rest of the money to her account, and Phyllis moved the money to Billy’s personal account.
Tucker told Phyllis he planned to streamline Jabot when he took over and that he’d get rid of Marchetti. Worried for Summer, Phyllis threatened to tell Jack, but Tucker called her bluff. Later, Tucker took a video call from Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton), and he gave her a rumor about Billy.
At the jazz club bar, Phyllis got confirmation that she didn’t owe any money. Danny (Michael Damian) walked up and said, “You look like you just lost your best friend.”
