Y&R Recap: Adam Agrees To Make Changes For Nick And Sharon

The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, July 31, 2023, brings a big move for Adam Newman as he agrees to make some changes at Nick and Sharon’s request.

Young and the Restless: A New Name

At Society, Adam let Nick (Joshua Morrow) know Victor’s latest demands regarding Adustus, and Nick wasn’t at all happy with his brother. Another thing Nick hated — Adam’s name for the company. The brothers disagreed over things for a bit, and Adam ultimately agreed to rename the company.

Sharon (Sharon Case) showed up, and she agreed with Nick for the most part. Another thing she let Adam know is she believed he really could change, and Nick reluctantly agreed. Of course, Adam dropped the bombshell that he’d offered Phyllis a job, which didn’t please them at all.

Just then, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) called and accepted Adam’s job offer. However, she had one small thing to ask him, which sounded a bit foreboding.

Young and the Restless Recap: A New Direction

Earlier, Sharon met with Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) at Crimson Lights. The new mothers were quiet because they had a sleeping Aria in a stroller next to them. The women caught up about how Sharon was doing after the ordeal with Cameron and talked a bit about Faith.

After a bit, Sharon told Mariah she teamed up with Nick and Adam to run the company Cameron left her and merged it with McCall Industries. Mariah and Tessa seemed surprised and not totally sure about Sharon working with both Nick and Adam, but she assured them it’d be great.

Sharon also asked Mariah to leave Jabot to work with her. After selling it, she went to meet with Nick and Adam while Mariah and Tessa talked it over. Tessa remained supportive of her wife as they discussed the pros and cons, and it seemed as if Mariah was leaning toward working with Sharon at the new company.

Y&R Recap: Family Reunion

Phyllis met with Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Summer at the jazz club. They had some harsh words for her about being at the scene of the crime, so to speak, but Phyllis foraged forward with a tentative smile.

They talked a bit, and she let her kids know that Adam had offered her a job. At first, neither Summer nor Daniel liked that idea. However, after a while, they came around and gave her their support.

Phyllis also let them know that her witness may not be around to testify, which left them concerned. After Phyllis left, Summer and Daniel wondered what it all meant and if their mom was encouraging the EMT to commit purgery on her behalf. Neither of them knew for sure.
