The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, October 26, 2023, brings stunning information for Sally when Adam tells her the truth.
Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Also in this episode, Nick tells both Sharon and Victoria about Victor’s scheme. Nikki berates Victor for worrying Victoria. Finally, Victor summons Nate to the ranch while swearing him to secrecy. Now let’s dig deeper into what happened.
Young and the Restless: Truth Time
Nick (Joshua Morrow) updated Sharon (Sharon Case) on Victor’s (Eric Braeden) scheme. Sharon wasn’t all that surprised, and Nick had nothing nice to say about it. While Nick knew he and Victoria would never betray Victor, he felt Adam most certainly would.
Nick complained about his father continuing to give Adam chances, and Sharon encouraged him to look at things from Victor’s point of view. In talking it through, Nick couldn’t understand why Victor continued pushing his plan, and Sharon pointed out that Victoria might be his target instead of Adam. He wanted to tell Victoria the truth despite Sharon’s warnings. Nick and Sharon shared a moment, and he thanked her for being there for him.

At the GCAC bar, Sally (Courtney Hope) flashed back to her breakup with Nick. Adam (Mark Grossman) approached with an apology for ruining her relationship with his brother, and she asked him to stay to chat. She revealed that things between her and Nick weren’t entirely over…they were on a break.
As they talked, Adam threw himself a pity party about being cursed to destroy things both personally and professionally despite his good intentions. Adam worried that he had pushed his father over the edge. He explained everything that had happened with Victor’s mental confusion.
Sally pointed out Adam had changed, and Adam admitted that his whole “starting over” was a scam. Sally wasn’t happy to hear Adam had lied to everyone, including her, and Adam admitted he had. She admitted he’d fooled her, and Adam apologized…again. Seeing what happened to Victor, though, made Adam sick over his actions.
Sally didn’t quite buy that Adam really felt regret over Victor, though. He didn’t love that Sally was questioning him because she was the only person he could count on. Adam swore that this time it was real, and Sally said she believed him…but only this one more time. He revealed he’d spoken to a doctor, and he wondered how to get Victor to speak with the man.
Sally suggested he talk with Victoria and Nick about it and present a united front. Adam thanked her and complimented her for how inspiring she was. Later, they shared a lingering hug, and Adam watched Sally walk upstairs to her room. He left, and she lingered on the stairs with a wistful expression.
Young and the Restless Recap: Plan In Motion
Victor wasn’t happy that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) forced him to reveal his plans to Nick. Nikki begged her husband to reveal the details to Victoria, but he refused. Victor only trusted her and Nick. Nikki argued Victoria’s case, but Victor wasn’t convinced she’d remain loyal. He insisted that Nikki trust him because he had one last piece of the plan that must be put into play. Nikki expressed her displeasure at Victor not telling her, and she warned him it wouldn’t end well.
In bed at Nate’s, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nate (Sean Dominic) agreed to put talk of Adam using Victor’s mental decline against them down for the evening. Victoria appreciated all of Nate’s support as she was pulled in so many directions. She expressed her fear for her father, and Nate tried to calm those fears.
Victoria imagined what it would’ve been like to have been born into a “normal” family instead of the Newmans. She wished her dad could just be her dad instead of her boss or business partner, and she hated feeling like she was waiting for him to die. Victoria even questioned whether she wanted the “crown” of Newman Enterprises.
She received a call from Nick, and Victoria left to meet him at Society. When she arrived, Nick told a stunned Victoria that their father had been faking.
Meanwhile, Nate received a call from Victor. He summoned Nate to the ranch immediately, swearing him to secrecy.
