The Young and the Restless recaps for October 17 – October 21, 2022, feature confessions, confrontations, lies, loving, and so much more.
When Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) pries, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) insists that she had no contact with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) in the aftermath of her presumed death…it’s a statement that both she and Tucker know to be a bald-face lie… Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) updates Tucker on the splintered Winters/Hastings clan; Tucker deduces that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is the businessperson making a play for Chancellor-Winters.
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) rejects Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) plea for reconciliation. Subsequently, Sally and Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) agree to call their budding romance quits; Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) spies their farewell embrace.
Summer warns Sally away from Nicholas, then does similar with her dad… Nicholas cautions Adam not to continue his pursuit of Sally, and against channeling his anger into a revenge scheme… Sally sees to it that Adam keeps his father/son appointment with Connor (Judah Mackey)
Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) makes it clear to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that he’ll no longer champion taking Chancellor-Winters public… Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) fills Victoria in on his giving away their plan to usurp control of Chancellor-Winters; Victoria is thankful that Nate kept her name out of the proceedings… Victoria floats the idea of firing Sally and installing Nate in her stead; Nicholas is chagrined.
Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) overhears Connor voice his opinion that she’d rather mother Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) than him; she agrees with Adam that the family should see a counselor… Nicholas puts the ball firmly in Sally’s court where their relationship is concerned.
Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) takes Lily to task for neglecting to anticipate Nate’s betrayal. Once Lily suitably appeases her, Jill expresses her desire to continue with the IPO… During a set-to, Nate and Devon seem to get at the root of Devon’s inability to delegate or approve ideas that don’t originate with him: he’s judging himself and everybody else by the late Neil Winters’ standards.
Jack emboldens Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) not to take any gruff from Audra… Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) implores Audra to keep her distance… Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Summers (Michell Stafford) encourage Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) to play Tucker for a fool… Victoria and Tucker size each other up… Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) learn that an expectant mother would like to get to know them.
Diane lays down her burden to Jack: Tucker has been blackmailing her over a past association with money launderer Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). Tucker’s want? Information on Ashley’s comings and goings… Honeymooners Summer and Kyle bask in their togetherness.
