Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) bolster, respectively, Lily (Christel Khalil) and Devon (Bryton James) in the leadup to the meeting with the arbitrator who will decide the lawsuit’s outcome…Jack (Peter Bergman) let Traci (Beth Maitland) in on his and Diane’s engagement…Diane rumbles that Phyllis lied about Jeremy (James Hyde) being out of town…Jeremy intimates to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that he’ll be crashing the bicentennial gala.
Amanda (Mishael Morgan) comes out swinging during the arbitration hearing…Audra (Zuleyka Silver) puts a bug in Elena’s (Brytni Sarpy) ear about Nate (Sean Dominic) and Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) relationship…Victor (Eric Braeden) floats the idea of being a silent investor in Chancellor-Winters; Jill (Jess Walton) is intrigued.
Jill interrupts the arbitration and insists on speaking with Devon and Lily alone. During the pow-wow, she reveals that the IPO is off and that she expects the snipping siblings to forgive and forget. Neither Devon nor Lily seems too keen…Jack and Diane resolve to announce their engagement at the ball — on the proviso that Kyle gives his blessing…Amanda and Abby cross paths at Crimson Lights.
Mamie (Veronica Redd) returns to Genoa City and is greeted by Jack and Billy (Jason Thompson)…Daniel and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) while away their afternoon brainstorming…Billy officially accepts Jack’s offer to return to Jabot as co-CEO…Unkind words from Summer (Allison Lanier) spur Phyllis into solidifying her team-up with Jeremy.
When Lily pushes Jill for an explanation as to her sudden change of heart, Jill hedges…Devon bristles when Nate tries to referee him and Lily…Amanda curtly dismisses an apologetic, concerned Abby…Abby convinces Devon to ready for the to-do…Adam (Mark Grossman) and Victoria trade barbs at Crimson Lights. Nate steps in and plays Sir Galahad.
Tucker (Trevor St. John) swings by the Abbott manse and floats the idea of playing escort to Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Jack’s vehement disapproval spurs Ashley into heading out the door on Tucker’s arm…Summer and Kyle give Jack and Diane their blessing to announce their engagement to all and sundry.
The Genoa City Bicentennial Gala gets underway. Nikkie and Victor, then Ashley and Tucker walk the red carpet…Devon and Abby are forced to share the limelight with Jill, Lily, and Daniel…Sally (Courtney Hope), harbors the worry that her pregnancy will show, and Nick likewise trots the line alongside Adam and Sharon (Sharon Case).
Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton) crashes the bicentennial ball much to the consternation of the revelers…The Athletic Club’s newly refurbished lounge is dedicated in memory of Neil Winters…Phyllis’s demeanor gave Daniel and Summer serious cause for concern…Diane and Jack decided to hold off on their big announcement…Chelsea waivered but ultimately decided to attend the gala with Billy…Elena caught sight of Victoria and Nate cozying up to one another.
