The Young and the Restless recaps for December 5 – December 9, 2022, feature meddling menaces, a couple calling it quits, surprising bedfellows, and so much more.
The Young and the Restless Recaps: Monday, December 5
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) finds Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) deep in conversation; Jeremy makes pointed reference to Diane’s grandson… Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) ropes Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) into a family dinner at Society; Summer conscripts Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) who needles Phyllis.
Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) is alerted to Jeremy’s arrival in Genoa City… Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) told Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) that his and Abby Newman-Abbott Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) marriage was over. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) took exception to Sharon exchanging pleasantries with the man who’d supposedly hurt his daughter.
Abby is put out to find Tucker engaged in play with Dominic. Tucker begs for a place in his grandson’s life; Abby acquiesces… Abby fills Devon in on Chance’s request for a divorce… Diane and Jack arrive at Society. Diane unloads on Phyllis, then tells Kyle about Jeremy’s intimidating visit. Kyle, in turn, tells Summer that Phyllis sicced Jeremy upon Diane. Afterward, he sets off for Jeremy’s hotel suite.
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) make love. Rather than bask in the afterglow, the two agree that the dynamic between them has changed and that they’ve just spent their last night together. Adam takes his leave of Sally and walks smack dab into Nicholas. Nicholas lets himself into Sally’s room and immediately deduces what transpired between her and his brother.
Young and the Restless Recaps: Tuesday, December 6
Sally insists to Nicholas that her tryst with Adam left her resolute in her decision to permanently sever ties with her ex and start forging ahead with him — if Nicholas is still interested, that is… Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) dined together at Society. Daniel played coy when the topic of Heather Stevens was broached… Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) questioned why Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) was keeping him at arm’s length and she relayed Lily’s point that she had a plethora of other persons in her life to lean on.
Chance confided Abby’s infidelity to Adam… Diane confessed to Jack that she used a cache of Jeremy’s cash to better her life. Jack floats the idea of lending Diane the readies to pay Jeremy back; Diane dismisses the notion out of hand but does accept Jack’s offer of sanctuary.
Y&R Recaps: Wednesday, December 7
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) takes exception to Diane’s presence in the family manse… Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) tries to seduce Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), but he pulls back from the romantic clinch rather than lean in. Audra ends her night in Tucker’s room and in his arms.
Jack takes Phyllis to task for her interference and threatens her livelihood… Lily bristles over Billy’s efforts to connect and takes great exception to his questioning her intentions where her interaction with Chelsea was concerned… Adam warns Billy away from Chelsea, but Billy is hardly cowed.
The Young and the Restless Recaps: Thursday, December 8
Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) and Sally achieve rapprochement… Summer is greatly offended by the sight of Sally and Nicholas; Nicholas informs his daughter that he will not be dictated to… Victor suggests to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that she distance herself from Ashley and Phyllis in the wake of Jeremy’s arrival in GC… Kyle and Jack rail at Ashley for putting his mother in harm’s way… Jeremy tracks Diane down at Jabot. Phyllis leaves the two to their own devices.
Young and the Restless Recaps: Friday, December 9
Jack finds Diane and Jeremy deep in conversation; Jeremy swears that the only thing he’s interested in is being reimbursed… Diane and Jack plot to make Jeremy think that she’s left town… Chance takes his leave of Abby… Lily softens slightly toward Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) much to Devon’s chagrin. Lily ponders aloud the difference between Nate’s trespass and Devon’s… Tucker continues in his efforts to woo Ashley.
