The Young and the Restless recaps for July 24 – July 28, 2023, featured “I dos’, some “I don’ts”, quite a few “you shouldn’ts” and so much more.
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Tucker (Trevor St. John) announce their engagement to Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Devon (Bryton James). Abby insists on hosting the wedding at the Chancellor estate…. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) confides in Heather (Vail Bloom) how she’s at Tucker’s mercy. Overhearing the convo, Tucker arranges for Carson to be relocated. Heather apprises Phyllis of Carson’s disappearing act.
Jack (Peter Bergman) rides to Diane’s (Susan Walters) defense when Billy (Jason Thompson) presses the issue of her resigning from Jabot. Ashley and Jack’s bickering reaches a fever pitch and results in Jack insisting he’ll let Ashley walk with her part of the company.
Victor (Eric Braeden) makes Sally (Courtney Hope) an attractive offer, but there’s a catch. Her new contract with Newman Media would be an exclusive one. Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) can but ponder his father’s motives…. Jack retracts his surrender and Ashley declares war. Diane floats the idea of Jack and Billy staging phony arguments and sending Billy into Ashley and Tucker’s camp as a Trojan horse of sorts.
Chance (Conner Floyd) expresses concern about Sharon (Sharon Case) going into business with Adam (Mark Grossman). Adam resents the implication…. Adam extends Phyllis a job opportunity…. Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton) disseminates some juicy gossip about Phyllis and the Abbott family’s internal war.
Victor contacts Jill (Jess Walton) and informs her of the offer he extended to Sally. Jill rumbles that he wants Sally close so he can keep a watchful eye on her…. After discussing the matter with Nicholas and Adam, Sally endeavors to give Victor the benefit of the doubt and, pending a conversation with Chloe, seriously consider taking him up on his job offer.
With Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) called away on urgent business, it falls to Nate (Sean Dominic) to step into the breach. The situation rankles Nicholas. Billy and Nate square off over Victoria…. Diane suggests to Jack and Billy that they lull Ashley and Tucker into a false sense of security by staging a public falling out. The subsequent discussion almost leads the men to actually fall out.
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Chance take turns bolstering Summer (Allison Lanier)…. Kyle (Michael Mealor) forgoes attending Jack and Diane’s impending wedding…. Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and Phyllis reconnect…. Phyllis and Jack come face-to-face and Jack rebukes her. Having spied on the encounter, Tucker is less than thrilled…. Jack and Billy set their plan to lull Ashley and Tucker into a false sense of security into action.
Jack and Diane get hitched…. Jack and Billy stage yet another blow-up for Ashley’s benefit…. Kyle entertains Adura (Zuleyka Silver) with his sexual prowess and rantings about Adam…. Adam and Victor rehash the past.
