The Young and the Restless Recaps: Monday, April 18

After obtaining Victoria Newman Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) assurance that she’d remain by his side come what may, Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) signed away his stake in Newman/Locke and had his and Victoria’s marriage annulled. Afterwards, Victoria revealed to Ashland that he’d been snowed.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) blasted Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for making the trek from LA to Genoa City and checking into her hotel. Diane insisted that she’d only done so so that she might be better positioned should Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) decide to reach out to her. Phyllis warned Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) of the development.

Young and Restless Recaps: Tuesday, April 19

Victoria presses Ashland to come clean about his faked cancer; he does so. Ashland swears that despite setting out to seduce and destroy her, he did truly fall in love with her. Victoria orders Ashland out.

Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) readies himself to join Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Conner (Judah Mackey) on a road trip to Chicago. He’s forced to drive back to his and Sharon Rosales’s (Sharon Case) abode when it becomes clear that his and Conner’s hockey tickets have been left behind… Chelsea and Sharon clear the air between them.

A distraught Victoria takes to the road. While on the phone with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), she’s blinded by the lights from an oncoming vehicle!

Y&R Recaps: Wednesday, April 20

Though dazed and injured himself, Ashland works to free Victoria from her wrecked and blazing car. He carries her to a nearby, disused shack… Nikki and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) fear the worst when they can’t get back in touch with Victoria. At their urging, Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) ventures out into the foggy night in search of his sister.

Connor bemoans missing the hockey game. Chelsea and Sharon put on brave faces around the boy, but both privately worry that some untoward fate has befallen Rey… Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) tells Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) that she’s falling in love with him… When Victoria comes around and demands answers, Ashland informs her that Rey was the driver of the car that instigated the crash and that his injuries have proven fatal.

The Young and the Restless Recaps: Thursday, April 21

Victoria mourns Rey and attempts to shoulder the blame for the accident. Ashland assures her that she was not at fault… Nick calls Victor and passes along the news about Rey… Nick, Victor, and Nikki meet up to search the woodland close to the crash site. They find Ashland and Victoria and confirm Rey’s passing.

Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) arrives on the scene and is devastated to learn of Rey’s fate… Nick takes it upon himself to tell Sharon what’s transpired. Having deduced the truth hours earlier, a distraught Sharon collapses into her ex’s arms.

Y&R Recaps: Friday, April 22

Adam fills Chelsea in on the events of the night before. Together, they tell Connor… Sharon is blindsided by Celeste Rosales’s desire to have Rey laid to rest in Miami… Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) offer to postpone their wedding, but Sharon won’t hear of it… Victor orders Ashland to leave town. Later, he floats the idea of Adam staying on as CEO of Newman/Locke until Victoria is fully recovered from her injuries; she is aghast at the idea.
