The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, August 13, 2020 finds Jack offering parenting advice to Victor, Esther offering parenting advice to Kevin, Adam trying to learn the truth about his parents, and Kyle dealing with his grandmother.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
George the Kansas Farmhand (we assume that’s what it said on the plane ticket Adam bought him) won’t answer Adam’s (Mark Grossman) questions about how AJ the Loan Shark (we assume that’s what it said on his tombstone) died.
But when Connor (Judah Mackey) the Miracle Child calls Adam to whine that his coach won’t put him into the soccer game and Adam assures him it’s because he’s the best player and all the other kids are jealous, George reconsiders and tells Adam that Victor (Eric Braeden) and Hope wanted to protect Adam the way he wants to protect Connor. (They lied to you, is implied.)
Adam freaks out and goes running to Sharon (Sharon Case). Sure, the woman may be recovering from a lumpectomy, but Adam needs psychiatric help now, and she’d better get over herself and think about him!
Father To Father
Jack (Peter Bergman) suggests Victor give up on Adam, they both bring out the worst in each other. Victor barks for Jack to shut up, he doesn’t know anything.
Later, Kyle (Michael Mealor) tells Jack that Dina (Marla Adams) has been upset all afternoon, and said a mysterious word, “Bixley.”
Mother To Daughter
Esther (Kate Linder) tells Kevin (Greg Rikaart) how guilty she feels about not giving Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) a father. Kevin tells Esther she’s great. Kevin tells Esther he is worried he’ll be a crappy dad because he had a crappy dad himself. (After he reminds her he’s been raising Bella for years.) Esther tells Kevin he’s great. Chloe is upstairs feeling sick. Maybe it’s from this conversation. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
