The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, January 12, 2024, brings Claire telling Jordan they’re through, but Jordan tries to have the last word.
Also in this episode, Seth helped Nikki with her hangover. Victor let her know Cole and Victoria moved forward with Claire’s plans. Audra didn’t have much insight for Ashley into Tucker. Tucker worked to convince Ashley she was wrong about their argument. Now, let’s dig deeper into what happened.
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Cole (J. Eddie Peck) worried after Claire (Hayley Erin) got physically ill ahead of her meeting with Jordan (Colleen Zenk). When Claire returned, Victoria told Claire she didn’t have to confront Jordan, but Claire insisted she had to in order to take back her power. Victoria and Cole promised to be waiting down the hall.
Jordan walked in, and she tried to connect with Claire. However, Claire was unwilling to believe her aunt’s blatant lies. Jordan tried to convince Claire she remembered things wrong, but Claire knew the truth, and she wasn’t afraid to say it straight to her great aunt’s face.

“You are the monster who haunts my nightmares,” Claire said. Jordan insisted she loved Claire, but Claire said thanks to Jordan, she didn’t even know what love was. She declared she wanted Jordan to live a long, painful life behind bars with her hopes crushed.
Claire said she was finished with Jordan, but Jordan told her they weren’t. She declared she had plans, and Jordan said Claire had chosen the wrong side. After all, now Jordan had all the time in the world to plan her revenge.
Claire had the guard remove her great-aunt from the room, and Victoria and Cole returned. They all went home together to Genoa City.
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) woke up to a surprise. Her Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor Seth (Brian Gaskill) was in the room with her. He let Nikki know that Lauren had stayed with her until dawn and called him to take over. (Lauren wasn’t able to keep Nikki’s secret.)
Hungover, Nikki was embarrassed by her behavior the previous day, and she was surprised when Seth remembered her favorite tea. Seth tried to get her back on the wagon with his support, and when he answered a knock at Nikki’s door, he assumed it was room service.
However, Victor (Eric Braeden) was there, and he walked in, much to Nikki’s horror. Seth left, and Victor took Nikki home after he reassured her that they would get through the rough stuff together. At the ranch, Victor informed his wife that Cole and Victoria went with Claire to confront Jordan. He also noted that he thought Nikki needed somebody other than Seth as her AA sponsor.
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) talked at Society. Audra claimed she had no extra insight into Tucker (Trevor St. John), and she and Ashley went back and forth a bit. After a while, Audra left after noting that she’d merely wanted to know if Tucker still had a chance of reuniting with Ashley.
Upset, Ashley went to Tucker. He insisted that his version of what happened in Paris during their honeymoon was correct. Yes, he was angry, and he might have even bumped into a chair, but it hadn’t been violent. Ashley said she didn’t believe him, and Tucker told her that she had to be having doubts or she wouldn’t have even come to him. After all, they were in a public place, and nobody called the authorities or even a manager. Tucker walked away as Ashley looked pained.
