Is Summer to hard on Phyllis Summers?
Summer Newman told Phyllis Summers she was tired of their having the same argument over and over again on The Young and the Restless. Summer finally confessed how painful it has been for her, watching her mom make the same mistakes over and over again, never growing up, even as her daughter did. Is the former Supergirl being too harsh on her obviously not mentally well mama?
That depends on what Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is really up to, 8% are speculating. If Phyllis is really just looking out for her family, that’s one thing. But if she is so blinded by her hate for Diane (Susan Walters) that she doesn’t care who she sacrifices to bring the other woman down, then Summer (Allison Lanier) needs to either cut ties with her mom or get her some desperately needed psychological help.
Thank God, 38% of you cheer. Summer has put up with Phyllis’ nonsense for way too long. She’s let her mother wreak havoc throughout Genoa City and even defended her to Nick (Joshua Morrow), Jack (Peter Bergman), and Kyle (Michael Mealor). Summer has finally accepted that Phyllis has lost her grip on reality and that she is an actual threat to Summer’s family, especially Harrison (Kellen Enriquez). It’s about time she let Phyllis know she won’t be standing for it!
Oh, please, 54% dismiss. Phyllis isn’t doing anything worse than anyone else in town has done. Has Summer forgotten her own schemes? Like, uhm, the time she blackmailed Kyle into marriage by threatening to let Lola (Sasha Calle – who, ironically, is the DCU’s new Supergirl; how’s that for a fun coincidence?) actually DIE?
Summer has plenty of bad behavior in her own past. And Phyllis always supported her. Turnabout is fair play, daughter dearest.
