Jack Abbott is sold on The Young and the Restless. He truly believes that Diane Jenkins has given up her wicked, wicked ways, and he is now ready to move her not just into his bed, but into his family home, as well. Jack is ignoring warnings from Phyllis, from Kyle, from Jack, and from Victor.
Young and the Restless Polling
He is in love, and he is happy. That’s all he needs to know. But for those of us whose eyes are not blinded by affection, we’ve got to wonder: Has Diane (Susan Walters) really changed? Here’s what almost 2,000 viewers are seeing.
New Y&R Woman
Only 5% are as smitten as Jack (Peter Bergman). You’ve bought the speeches, the passionate declarations, and the attempts to get reacquainted with Kyle and Harrison (Kellen Enriquez). Diane, you truly believe, has worked hard to become a better person, and she’s done it. It’s only smooth sailing ahead for this couple!
Diane Jenkins Is Halfway There
She may have changed some, 17% are willing to believe. She’s probably done with her sperm-stealing days. But everything else, including lying and blackmail, is still on the table. Sure, she’s making nice with Jack now.
And you’re even willing to believe that she truly loves him and genuinely wants to be a family with him and Kyle (Michael Mealor). But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have another agenda. And that if her position is threatened, she will bring out the claws and shred anyone who is even thinking of getting in her way to pieces.
Genoa City of Angles
Oh, please, 78% of the audience dismisses. The woman always has an angle. So why should now be any different? She schemed and plotted to worm her way back into Jack and Kyle’s life, and you don’t believe that love was the only motive. She wants something. Maybe it’s money. Maybe it’s power. Maybe it’s position. But Jack’s heart is not the only thing Diane is in Genoa City to steal.
